Brief Introduction
Founded in 1920 in Queensland, Australia, Qantas Airways is the
largest airline in Australia and one of the airlines with the
longest history in the world. Beginning its business by transporting
mail and passengers in biplanes, it has extended its operation
to around 140 destinations on five continents. As of the end of
2006, Qantas Airways owned 10 Airbus A330s and 114 Boeings. It
is also one of the airlines which have ordered the super-size
Airbus A380. Qantas Airways is always dedicated to provide better
service on board as well as on the ground. Its logo features a
running kangaroo, symbolizing creditable, safe and advanced services.
At present, Qantas Airways operates one non-stop flight every
day from China Mainland to Australia. Flights to Hong Kong are
operated as well. Destinations from Hong Kong include London and
major cities in Australia and New Zealand.
