I got from the internet that Chengdu-Chongqing round-trip flights of Sichuan Airlines will be suspended from Nov.16, 2009 due to the constant reduce of passenger flow which was caused by the severe competition. Passenger now more and more tend to D-trains, which only takes about 3.5 hrs and RMB87 from Chongqing to Chengdu.

At about 10 am. on Aug. 11, 2009, a sudden large-scale electric power failure occurred in Chengdu Shuangliu Airport which led to the entire airport temporarily closed. It is said that before the resumption of power supply, thousands of passengers were stranded and nearly 148 flights delayed. Some people also said this is unprecedented in the domestic aviation history.
