This is with reference to Flight No. MU5812 on 02 oct 09(dep-0755), from Shanghai to Hongqi, we had a bad experience at the airport. We were waiting in the line for check in for past one and half hour, we were not able to reach the counter in time so we were not allowed to board the plane. We had earlier asked the supervisor in charge (twice), in fact we showed him our tickets also, that we are getting delayed, he would not listen to us and tell us to stand in the line only. The announcements are made in chinese only which is very difficult for a tourist to understand. We were forced to buy new tickets (which were definately expensive) and thus had to board next flight. So, I request authorities to look in this matter and see that no one suffers in this way next time. And separate counters should be made for each flight. So many flights check -in are made at same counters, it will definately cause chaos and harrasment to the passengers. Thanking you. Rachna Virmani

My wife is pregnant. I would like to know at which stage of her later pregnancy is she not allow to fly at china eastern airlines?
According to the aviation regulations, usually there are no limitations for the pregnant woman having the pregnancy less than 8 months. Just the pre-production proof is needed when buying the ticket.
However, if the pregnancy is more than 8 months, the pregnant woman is usually not allowed to take the flight. If there are some special circumstances, then Doctor's certificate of Diagnosis and the application of special passengers will be required by the carrier 72 hours before the departure time. Of course, this info is just for your reference. For more details, you can consult the airlines directly by the hotline number listed on the website.
Sep. 21,2009 01:03 Mr.Omar(Egypt) replied:
China East Airlines accepts passengers with pregnancies less than 36 weeks. A medical certificate is required at check-in. It is to be completed by both the passenger and her treating doctor within 72 hours prior to departure and submitted.
Pregnant passengers should make certain that the facilities at the destination country are adequate to cope with any problems with the pregnancy happened during the visit. It is wise to avoid travel to remote locations whilst pregnant.

I need to know what flights you have out of Dhaka to any cities in China.(Direct Flights). I also need to know what is the business class fare for such a flight.(one way and return). My intended dates of travel are 10th October to the 15th October. I need flight times and flight duration. Also I need to know how to pay for my ticket as you do not have offices in South Africa and I will need a confirmed ticket in hand before I land in Dhaka due to the VISA regulations.

Mr.Babatope (Colombia) replied:
There are direct flights from Dhaka to Beijing and Guangzhou. From October 10th to 15th, 2009, Dhaka - Beijing direct flights are available daily; while Dhaka – Guangzhou direct flights are available on Oct 12 and 14.
Here below is the flight information:
Dhaka – Beijing, 14:40/22:55, MU2036, China Eastern Airlines, flight duration: 6h 15 min
Dhaka – Guangzhou, 03:00-07:10, CZ392, China Southern Airlines, flight duration: 2h 10 min
As for the airfare for the flights (one way and return), you can get in touch with some booking agencies and they will offer you the quotation and payment details. The tickets you need are international flights, so I can not find the airfare for them because the airfare always changes and fluctuates daily.

Please advise me if there is any direct flight from Kunming to Weifang from China Eastern Airlines. If not, please advise connecting flight.
Also, please advise idea on fare from Dhaka to Weifang via connecting destination.
Thanks and regards,

Ms.Monika(Malaysia) replied:
There is no flight from Kunming to Weifang, and the nearest route is to take flight from Kunming to Qingdao and then take coach to Weifang from Qingdao, which will take you one hour and a half. From Kunming to Qingdao, several flights are available daily and below is the flight schedule provided by China Eastern Airlines: Kunming- Qingdao MU5773 0800/1100
From Dhaka to Kunming, one direct flight is available daily: Dhaka – Kunming, MU2036, 1440/1805, China Eastern Airlines. However, since your departure time is half a year later, I can not find the airfare. Thus, it is better for you to consult the airlines or booking agencies for the price details.
