Yes! I can found 12 bullet trains to Mt Wuyishan. Some of them stop at Wuyishan North and some at Wuyishan East. The North Station is a little bit closer but both stations have direct bus to reach the spot. As the destination station is different, the cost is different too. Generally, the ticket price is from CNY147.5 to CNY516 per seat. You can choose to buy a ticket online in advance to secure your ticket or buy it at station if you want to pay cash.

On the North Square, it should be near exit No. 1, I think. You can ask the information desk or other local people if you cannot find it.

It may take you around 30 to 45min for the luggage collection at the airport. If you will land by international flight, you may need longer time like around 1 hour. There is bus line 3 which goes from the airport to West Station. The bus may take around 45min to 1 hour on the way and runs around every 30min. So it would be better if you prepare about 1.5 hours for this transfer. You also need to reach the railway station about 1 to 1.5 hour in advance for the ticket collection and security check etc.

how to get tickets checked
When arriving at Nanchang West station, I read that I need to get my ticket checked if it is pink and that this is done automatically if it is blue. Can someone explain to me what this means? Do I need to go to the ticket counter? It seems silly but I dont know what "get it checked" means.
Thank you.

No, it means when you go through the ticket checking gate in the waiting room to reach the platform. In the waiting area, there is the gate for ticket checking and then you can enter the platform. If you hold a blue ticket, the ticket will go through the automatic machine. If you hold a pink ticket, you need to go through another line beside. A station staff will be at that line and check your pink ticket instead.
