You can visit Badaling and Mutianyu since this is your first time in Beijing. Badaling is the most famous section which is noted for the grand construction, and Mutianyu has better views of ups and downs of the wall, the surrounding scenic sight is also beautiful.

Ms.Rorie(US) said:

Where exactly does it start? And can you walk the complete distance now? Would you be stopped or would it get to be too dangerous as of now?

May. 27,2009 01:29
Mr.Zhen replied:

The China Great Wall starts from Hushan in Liaoning Province, to speak more detailed, but it is generally believed the wall starts from Shanhaiguan Pass in Hebei Province. It is very difficult to walk the complete distance, because many sections of the wall is left as it is without being repaired, and the wall is located in the mountains, so it is too dangerous to walk the whole length.
