hi
any suggestion for hotels in Shanghai that are easily access to and fro Pudong Airport and also to people's square. By the way, people's square is the place where raffles city and other shopping centres located?
thanks

Ms.Cindy replied:
People's Square is the place where Raffles City is located. There are many other shopping centers around the square and on the west and east extension from the square (East and West Nanjing Road). No direct airport shuttle bus from Pudong Airport to this People's square. Or if you can stay nearby Nanjing East Road (the part close to People's Square). You can use subway and maglev train fo and from the airport. Or take a taxi to the hotel after getting off the airport bus.

We are two families who want to come to Shanghai and stay for about 10 days at the end of June and early July. We would need accommodation for 5 adults and 2 children and would like to stay together so dont want a hotel. We would prefer a serviced apartment. Does anyone know how we can rent one? I have a sister who lives in Gubei so close to her would be good but not essential. We want to do sightseeing and Expo. We have been to Shanghai many times before and are happy to use Subway if nearby

Ms.HERBEAT(China) replied:
Well... Even in Gubei there are lots of serviced apartments... You could check online. You might choose the ones with two or three bedrooms... Or maybe you could ask your sister to help? It would always be a better way to do the real check...

Hi-
My wife and I are in Shanghai March 23 and 24th- looking for a hotel to rest and walk to downtown sites. Looking for suggestions that make for easier travel to and from airport. Sadly, this is all the time we have for such a wonderful city but we hope to get a brief look for a return trip. Thanks!

Mr.Shana replied:
I think you could book a hotel around the People's Square/Nanjing Road, which could be reached from Pudong Airport by Maglev subway quickly. Or, you could have a hotel close to Jing'an Temple, where the airport shuttle bus Line 2 could be taken. What's more important, both of these two area are the most prosperous area of Shanghai, having convenient transportation to other parts of this city.
