Beijing Friendship Store
Chinese name: 友谊商场（yǒu yí shāng chǎng）
Opened in 1964 with a floor area of 9,000 square meters, it is one of the largest departmental stores with a long history in Beijing. There are nearly 56,000 different products in the store, including clothes, cigarettes, jewelries, cameras and Chinese herbal medicine. Additionally, it is an ideal place for tourists as there are many traditional folk products being sold here, such as jade, curio, silk, cloisonné, calligraphy and Chinese painting.
With the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games, an Olympic licensed store has just opened in the Friendship Store, offering memorabilia like clothes, badges, caps and cases, amongst others.

Chinese name: 新光天地（xīn guāng tiān dì）
Known as one of the most luxurious shopping centers in Beijing, it was opened only recently in 2007. There are many specialty shops catering to world famous brands like Gucci, Prada, Juicy, Anna Sui and Channel. There is even an entertainment street on the 1st floor underground.
