Beijing Weather in September

September, praised as a golden month in Beijing, is cool, clear and brisk. Everywhere presents a harvest scene. The rainy season and summer heat have gone. The weather can still be hot in the afternoons during early September, but it is delightfully cool in the morning and evening. From late September, the temperature difference between day and night gets obvious, but it still feels pleasant even at night.

If coming in early September, summer clothes will do. If you plan to come later in the month, bring both short and long-sleeved clothes, and prepare a light coat for the morning and evening coolness as well.

It’s a good time for climbing the mountains and the Great Wall surrounding Beijing, and to enjoy the chrysanthemums in the Taoranting Park. At the same time, the annual Beijing International Cultural Tourism Festival and Beijing 798 Art Festival are also worth a visit.

Bring some cold medication; the temperatures between day and night differ substantially and there is more susceptibility to coughs and colds. Beijing climate goes back to its dry conditions in September, so drink plenty of water. Try to avoid the crowds at the end of the month before the Chinese National Day Holiday.

2024 September China Weather from 9/13-27 2014 Predictability

Planning to go to China in mid to late September. How should I expect the weather to be like?

It depends on where you will go as the weather differs a lot in various areas. But generally, the weather in September is comfortable and mild. In most places, the temperature ranges 15-25C.

It may be a little cold on that day so had better wear a coat and trousers. The security situation is good. In general, you don't need to worry about the safety problem. But you are advised not to walk around at some remote places.

If we plan to visit Beijing Sep 16th-23rd,what should girls wear?

Do we need hoodies or jackets?Sneakers or boots or slippers? Is that windy at that time?

The temperature may be 12C-27C. I think hoodies or jackets are both available since there may be a large temperature difference. Sneakers will be better to walk a long way since you will visit a lot of places in BJ. It’s hard to say if it will be windy.
