Beihai is located in the south subtropical zone featuring the maritime climate with monsoon style. The annual average temperature is 22.4C (about 72F ) and the highest is 37.7C (about 100F) while the lowest is about -1C (about 30F). That is to say, there are no frosty days in winter and no extremely hot days in summer.

If you come to Beihai, playing in the seaside is of course indispensable. There is distinct difference in tour in midseason and off-season. In Beihai, the midseason for tour refers to the spring, summer and autumn when the annual average temperature of seawater is high. And it is just the best time to visit Beihai from April to November during which period the sunlight is sufficient. It is suggested that you'd better put on the sandal or slipper when you come to the seaside. The off-season for tour refers to the period of December to March the next year. The sea breeze is very blowy and the temperature of the seawater is very low. Thus it is not suitable for visiting and also for eating the seafood.
