There are no buses to take you to get to Huangyao ancient town from Guangzhou. You need to go to Babu (i.e. Hezhou) from Guangzhou and then transfer to Huangyao.
The buses from Guangzhou to Hezhou are available in Provincial Bus Station, located on the Huangshi Road West. The buses No. 254, 805, 823, 31, 7, 225, 46, 175, 20, Night14, Night15 can take you to get to this bus station. After arriving at Babu, you have two itineraries to go to Huangyao.
1.Take a bus from Babu to Zhongshan and then find a bus to Gongqiao. The bus to Gongqiao passes Huangyao. This road condition of this itinerary is good.
2.Take a bus from Babu to Gongqiao. The road is a little bumpy. There are many electric-driven pedicabs from Gongqiao to Huangyao. It’s just five kilometers from Gongqiao to Huangyao.
