Nanning Railway Station is located in Zhong Hua Lu (Zhonghua
Rd.) in the central area of the city. The station was built in
1951. It now has sound passenger and freight transit facilities.
Extensive services can also be availed of, such as accommodation,
restaurant and shopping centers.
As the meeting point of many inland railways, the station has
trains directly to most large cities in China, including Beijing,
Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian, Chengdu, Kunming and Zhangjiajie. Other
railway lines extend to the cities of Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan,
Jiangxi provinces as well as some provincial cities including
Guilin, Beihai and Fangchenggang. Due to its special border location
close to Vietnam, international railways are opened directly to
Dongdang in Vietnam and there may be more in the future.
Many city buses have stops near the station.
