Hong Kong Train

Currently, there is only one passenger railway station in Hong Kong, Hung Hom Station, located at No.9 Cheong Wan Road, Hung Hom of Kowloon, close to the Coliseum. Connected with local MTR and Beijing-Kowloon Railway, it serves through trains to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan, and Zhaoqing.

Passengers should be at the station 45 minutes before scheduled departure time for exit formalities. The boarding gates close 10 minutes prior to departure. The bus nos.11K, 11X, 21, 260A, 260X, 81C, 87D, N216, N241, N271 and N281 all go here. Alternatively one can take the East Rail Line or a taxi to get here.

Another high speed railway line, reaching Guangzhou via Shenzhen is under construction.  It is scheduled to be put into service in 2017. By then, it will take only about 14 minutes from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, and 45 minutes to Guangzhou.
