on March 31, 2010, I will arrive in Shenzhen at 8.30 PM.
I have plan to go to Beijing on April 1, 2010 at 12.00 aM.
Which one is better, take a T train from Hongkong or Guangzhou? What the name of Hongkong railway, if I have to go to beijing from HK?
How long take train from Shenzhen railway to Hongkong railway?
Thanks for your favor

Nov. 2,2009 03:12
Mr.Sandy replied:

It takes about 45 minutes from Shenzhen Railway Station to Hong Kong hung Hom Railway Station. If you get back to Hong Kong and heading for Beijing, pay attention to you times of entry allowed for the visa. That means you re-entry to mainland China. The train leaves every two days at 15:15. You should make it sure there is one at that day you are leaving (leaving everyday from Guangzhou).

I am flying into Hong Kong and staying for a couple of days before I want to catch the train to Shanghai. I must arrive in Shanghai on Tuesday 23rd March 2010. I only need a one way ticket. Where do I purchase tickets this far in advance and what would be my departure from Hong Kong?

Oct. 23,2009 01:33
Mr.Shan replied:

Hi, Cullen, you could book a ticket online in advance from the official website and then collect the ticket when you arrive in Hong Kong. Well, you should refer to Mr. John (Australia)'s comments below. It seems that he had booked the same tickets successfully.

hi need help with this...will it be better to take hongkong-Beijing trains or hongkong- shanghai trains? need to check the availability of the tickets if i can get them right away as i get off the train...we will be in hongkong for days and by the 24th of Seotember we'll be taking the trip to changchun but aren't sure which way is easiest to go there, will it be from shanghai or from beijing? and pls include the possible costs all the way from hongkong.

Sep. 6,2009 01:46
Mr.Clark replied:

Beijing is much better as you transfer place to Changchun from Hong Kong. Trains to Beijing and Shanghai are similar, so, suggest you buy in advance. It needs 30 hours (only two trains)to go to Shanghai, but Beijing has more including bulle trains to Changchun.

Hello,

I am from Shanghai and planned going to Hongkong today (Saturday-August 22,2009) but when I went to Shanghai South Railway Station they said its fully booked already so decided just get a ticket for tomorrow which is Sunday but the counter said they don't have service/trip to Hongkong, tomorrow Sunday(August 23,2009), is it true? And they said there is only one train schedule for Hongkong which is NOT CORRECT when I will base on the train schedule book or whatever they call them where I bought from there management office since it was indicated on that booklet that there are two schedules, but since I can't speak Chinese that much so didn't argue with them so I cut the topic and just asked for the next day (Monday)but they said its fully booked until thursday. I badly need to be in Hongkong Monday, 24th of August, but couldnt find any way. I am not in good shape financially thats why just trying to take by train instead of by Air. Any suggestion how could I get there at the least and cheapest amount/expenses as possible? Someone advises me to take a train from Shanghai to Guangzhou then Guangzhou to Hongkong, anyone could suggest if its ok or what? Since I am afraid would spend more. And my problem also is when I arrived Guangzhou what could be the possible transportation for Hongkong? Is it by bus or train? Pls.I need your suggestion. Thanks a lot..

Aug. 22,2009 20:26
Mr.Jason replied:

It is T99B leaving from Shanghai to Kowloon. There is one train every two days. Suggest you take train to Guangzhou first and then change to direct East Rail train from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Kowloon which has more schedules to Hong Kong. The ticket is 190HKD. In guangzhou, buses to Hong Kong can be easitly find too. The fare is about 220-250HKD. When you get Guangzhou, it will be much easier to get to Hong Kong. Hope my answer is helpful and not late for you. Good Luck~

Mr.Helpless(SHANGHAI) replied:

Hello Mr. Jason,

Thanks for the suggestion got a train ticket earlier to Guangzhou for tommorrow since wasn't able to catch up the trip for today it was full. So will follow your suggestion hopefully it will turn out good. Thanks a lot.

I want to buy a ticket on the T99 (Shanghai -> Kowloon) for the end of July. I have looked for a long time online and can't find answers to my questions. Perhaps some of the generous people reading this can help. Here are my questions:

1) How far in advance can I buy a ticket? Someone above said "60 days", but I've heard different answers.

2) Can I buy a train ticket that leaves Shanghai from any train station in China? (I live in China, but not Shanghai).

3) If the answer to question 2 is "no", then can anyone recommend a reputable/reliable ticket agent that could help me out?

Thank you, everyone.

Jun. 18,2009 01:07
Mr.James replied:

To Roger,
1. Some people say it can be booked 90 days before at some ticket offices in Shanghai. However, one thing is clear that you can buy the ticket in advance. You can go to the ticket hall of Shanghai Railway Station and ticlet office in the north sqaure of Shanghai South Railway Station. Generally, although you book the ticke months later, you can get it two weeks before leaving.
2.No. suggest you buy in Shanghai, the ticket of this train is hard to buy, usually.
3. Never try a ticket agent. You can call the railway station to book one. You still have to go to Shanghai to catch the train, right?!
Good Luck.

Jun. 18,2009 03:59
Mr.Rogers(China) replied:

Thanks, Mr. James. I appreciate your help.
1) Great!
2) Ok.
3. Interesting. Yeah, the one agent I emailed told that the T99 is not running at this time. I tried to confirm this, but again, it's so hard to find any info in English. What would be the best way to find this out?
