I am going to Hong Kong from Guangzhou on November 16. Can I by my train ticket online and then pick it up at the Guangzhou East station?

Nov. 2,2009 22:23
Mr.Leo replied:

I'm afraid that you couldn't do it. It is because the official webiste of booking train tickets requires passengers pay for the ticket on line, and you should get the train ticket in Hong Kong only.

Oct. 15,2009 04:24
Mr.Jamie replied:

No. You should get to Hung Hom Train Station to catch the trains. Airport Bus A21 can take you there.

Mr.rajesh(India ) replied:

from Hung Home Train Station can i get current ticket for Guanzhou train or should i have to get an advance ticket for this train?

Oct. 20,2009 01:25
Mr.Jamie replied:

You can get current ticket at Hung Hom train station. It may need to book in advance in holidays. My suggestion is you can just go there to take the train. If you didn't got the train ticket, you can take train to Lu Wu from Hung Hom first and then catch bullet trains from Shenzhen to Guangzhou. bullet trains from Shenzhen to Guangzhou are much more than the direct trains from hung Hom to Guangzhou, and cheaper (take the same time).

Pls inform me... Thanks

Oct. 13,2009 02:25
Mr.Shan replied:

Yes, the train could drive you to the Guangzhou East Railway Station directly. When you arrive at Hung Hom by mtr, please take the Exit C to the Platform 5 or 6. Actually, there are many clear signs showing your way to take the train in the station. As for the ticket, you'd better purchase it in advance. Here is the official website supplying ticket booking online: http://www.it3.mtr.com.hk/b2c/frmIndex.asp?strLang=Eng

Yes, but you can only take at most two of them with you. As I know, there is no clear limit on lugguage weight. But you can bring lugguage higher than 170cm with you. You should put them consigned to the train.

How much is the ticket in Guangzhou in case I need to buy it there in RMB?

I will be lookig forward for your reply.

Sep. 7,2009 04:26
Mr.Jamie replied:

Better to be there one hour before leaving. The time is not late. You can get to Guangzhou 1 hour 45 minutes later. As I know you can buy the ticket for Train T811 upon departure, but you need to confirm. If not, you can buy at arrival of Guangzhou. The ticket fare is 190HKD. Generally, the ticket is not hard to get.

Hi
i am planning to visit Shenzhen and Zhaoqing from HK. Day 1 -HK to Shenzhen, Day 2- Shenzhen to Zhaoqing and Day 3-Zhaoqing-HK. What is the best mode of public transport?
Tks

Aug. 28,2009 22:33
Mr.Hank replied:

HK to Shenzhen: take Hong Kong MTR's East Rail to reach Luohu Port between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Go through the customs building you could enter into Shenzhen.
Shenzhen->Zhaoqing: close to the customs building, you could find the Luohu Bus Station. Here, you could take a bus to Zhaoqing directly from 07:00~20:00 everyday. The journey is about 3.5 hours.

Zhaoqing->Hong Kong: if possible, you could take the train T814 from Zhaoqing back to Hong Kong. Or, you could take bus return to Shenzhen and then back to HK.
