Brief Intro: Wuhan Tianhe International Airport was first built in 1990 and opened to the public in April, 1995. It now has three terminal buildings, T1, T2 and the New Terminal, among which T2 and the New Terminal are normally used while there is no flight operates in T1 currently. T1 as well as T2 is located at the southwest side of the terminal area, whereas the new terminal building is at southeast side. At present, there are more than 26 airline companies in Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, providing more than 158 air routes. It serves airlines to more than 65 domestic cities and more than 30 international cities, including Beijing Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong Macau, Taiwan, Tokyo, Delhi, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur,etc.

Terminal Buildings
Terminal 2 (T2): Terminal 2 was opened to public in 2008. It is a three-storey building with an area of about 23,000㎡(57 acres). The equipment room and parking lot are on the underground floor, while the arrival hall is on the first above ground floor and the departure hall is on the second floor. There are 72 check-in counters, 20 inspection channels and 17 waiting zones in T2. All the domestic flights are in operation in this terminal. Wifi broad band service is provided in this terminal building so that passengers can access to net when waiting for the flights.
New Terminal: A new terminal was formally put into operation on 28th Dec 2010. Covering an building area of about 5,130 ㎡ (1.3 acres), this terminal is only a transitional terminal building before the completion of the construction of T3. All the international flights and Hong Kong, Macau flights have been transferred from T1 to the new terminal building. It will be a private terminal for tourist charter flight and individual flight till 2015 when T3 open to public and all the flights in this terminal will be transferred to T3. One feature of the new terminal is that both departure hall and arrival hall are in the same floor. Thus, it is very convenient for passenger to finish the procedure of departure or arrival.
Tip: There is no airport shuttle bus stop in front of the new building, but free storage battery car runs among the three terminal buildings. Passenger can walk or take the free car from the new terminal to T2 to catch the airport shuttle bus.
