The other stands on the boundary line of Shenhe District and Huanggutun District. It is named North Shenyang Railway Station. Generally speaking trains that start from South Shenyang Train Station reach cities within or near Liaoning Province; while trains that start from North Shenyang Railway Station can arrive at most cities in China, like Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, and so on. No.203, 216, 502, 602, etc. city buses can bridge the two stations for your convenience. Usually you can buy train tickets five days in advance in the two stations.

In addition there are five speedways starting from Shenyang to Beijing, Dalian, Harbin, Fushun and Benxi. The local speedways together with those passing ones make it possible that there are almost hundreds of regular buses delivered to other towns within Liaoning Province and cities in and out the province.
Major long-distance bus stations in Shenyang:
Shenyang General Long-distance Bus Station: Chongshan Lu, Huanggu District
Shenyang South Long-distance Bus Station: Shengli Nanjie, Heping District|

Getting Around There are more than 3,000 city buses running on over 140 lines in Shenyang. Buses can reach almost every place in Shenhe District, Huanggu District, Tiexi District, Heping District and Dadong District. The ticket fare is 1 Yuan for big city buses without conductors; the ticket fare for mini-buses with conductors depends on the number of stops you have to take.
Shenyang is favored with a very good public transportation system. According to the statistics, there are 193 taxi companies in Shenyang at present, with a total of 170,000 in operation. There is only one train 1712/1713 running between Hohhot and Shenyang currelty. It takes about 20.5 hours on the way. You could search the details at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/
There are three trains running from Shenyang to Guangzhou currently, all of which take around 30 hours. So, the easiest way is taking a flight from Shenyang to Guangzhou. The flight info could be found at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/

Mr.Shan replied:
Currently, you could take train, bus or taxi from shenyang to Fushuan. The most comfortable one is by taxi which cost about 20RMB/adult. Then, it should be take the Leifeng Hao Bus respectively from the Minzhu Road (to the south of Shenyang Bus Station)and the south of the Shenyang North Bus Station. The fare is about 10RMB and takes about 80 minutes. Finally, you could catch a train to reach Fushun in one hour. The fare is about 7/9RMB per person.
Well, you could search the train infor at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/

Mr. Shan,
Thank you for your reply.
However, I am utterly confused because according to the information by Travel China Guide on this page on Shengyang trains, it says that "the train station located on the division line of Heping District and Tiexi new district is called Shenyang Train Station ( South Train station ).
But you said that the one close to Taiyuan Street is called Shenyang Railway station.
Can you please check to see if Travel China guide is correct?
Jul. 8,2009 21:27
Mr.Colin replied:
To Nelly, they are both correct. District is a larger and wider word and the street is more specific. In deed, the railway station in Shengli Street near to Taiyuan Street. It does not really matter for you to get there. The railway station itself is a landmark.
Jul. 9,2009 10:28
Mr.Wu(China) replied:
That is pretty much correct as i know, but i think if you take taxi in city, and take airplane between the city may be the best choice.

From Guide books, I read that there are 2 railway stations in Shengyang. One of them is called Shenyang north station. What is the other one called? How do I differentiate between the 2 of them.
Can someone kindly please explain and also write down the addresses of the 2 stations.
Jul. 6,2009 23:11
Mr.Shan replied:
There are not only two railway stations in Shenyang. There are three frequently used stations, including Shenyang Railway Station (close to Taiyuan Street), Shenyang North Railway Station (close to Zhong Street) and Shenyang South Railway Station. The previous two stations are located in downtown area, the third one is also called Sujiatun Railway Station.
