Planning to go Inner Mongolia early Oct. Will it be very cold in the grasslands? What temperature?
Aug. 16,2009 01:43 Mr.Sandy replied:
It will be a bit cold in the morning and evening. Take warm clothes. Sometime, the temperature varies 10C in temperature during a day. indeed, Oct is not a very good time to see grassland, August is the best.

How is weather in Inner Mongolia in early September? Is AH1N1 flu bad in Inner Mongolia ? Is it safe to visit Inner Mongolia now ? TQ
Aug. 1,2009 03:21 Mr.Sandy replied:
There is H1N1 case in Inner mongolia, but it is safe and the situation is slight. So, do not worry about that. It is cool there. Take a thick coat with you, because it will be a bit cold at night.

We are planning to take a week or so to travel and see Inner Mongolia on our way to the Shang Internationl Expo around end of Sept 2010. Can you please advise the things and places to see and how to get there coming from Vancouver, Canada. Many thanks
Jul. 4,2009 20:58 Mr.Sandy replied:
You can fly to Beijing and then take train or air plane to Hohhot. Air ticket is not expensive at this moment, I believe it is more or less the same in September,2010. Mid-Augest to end of September is the best tome to visit Inner Mongolia. You may miss the Nadam Fair held in lunar July. You can visit grassland around Hohhot, Dazhao Monastery, Wuta Temple, the Great Mosque, etc.

I plan to travel to Inner Mongolia then through Mongolia to Russia, over two weeks. I am interested to visit the grassland and perhaps do some horse and camel riding as well. What are the interesting places in Russia along the border of Mongolia? Is it safe? Do they speak a little English?
Jul. 4,2009 03:48 Mr.Shan replied:
Well, if you go to Russia from Manzhouli, go to the Hu Lun Bei Er Grassland. If you pass through Erlian, please go to Xilinguole Meng for a visit, beautiful grassland will be found~

I am going to teach for a year in Jining. But can not find any information about the city. What is it like? What is the weather in winter? Is there anything interesting to do or to see?
Jun. 14,2009 02:18 Mr.Sandy replied:
Do you mean Jining District at Wulanchabu of Inner Mongolia? It is not far away from Beijing, about 4 hours from beijing by expressway. The best place to visit is its grassland. Not a big morden city, but clean, fresh.

What is the weather like during the month of July?
Jun. 12,2009 02:14 Mr.William(CN) replied:
July is not very hot there but the ultraviolet radiation is strong, so please protect yor skin. Generally, short-sleeves tee-shirt and long trousers are okey during daytime. Maybe a long-sleeves shirt should be prepared for night. Well, July is the best season to visit Inner Mongalia, due to the comfortable weather and lush grasslands, of course, some exciting activities.
