The Huangpu Bus Station (黄埔巴士车站) is located at 1588, Shanghai Wai Ma Lu (上海外马路1588). The bus will leave for Hangzhou Airport at 18:00 on Saturday, taking about 3 hours on the way. Actually, if you take the buttlet train from Shanghai to Hangzhou and then take the Hangzhou Airport shuttle bus, it will be much easier.

Taxi ride to Shanghai will be expensive, if it's late at night, price will go up even more. There is a shuttle bus to Shanghai which waits on the AirAsia X passengers from KL (ticket counter beside airport exit #6), you can try that. Shuttle bus will take 3.5 hours to Shanghai and drop you off near the Metro Line 4, NanPu Bridge station. Once you get off, try to flag down a taxi by the road to get you to Ningbo road. Taxi in Shanghai is very well regulated and can be flagged down almost anywhere in the city 24 hours a day. Taxi ride to Ningbo Road near People's Square, without traffic should be ~20 mins. Just ignore the touts at the station. Otherwise, spending a nite in Hangzhou is not a bad idea since you are arriving so late, try homeinns.com for clean and affordable accommodation.

It may cost 300RMB to pick you up at the airport and sent you back to the hotel. It is costs 100RMB for the single trip from airport to city center. Getting out of the city, suggest you rent a vehicle on day basis. It may cost 400-500RMB (eight hours) for car with 11seats. We are leaving from Hangzhou Airport at about 23:00 and live in Suzhou (2adults, 3 children). What are options and recommendations to get to the airport? Arrive back about 13:30 1week later.
Sep. 23,2009 01:31 Mr.Hank replied:
For an easy way, you could rent a cab to drive you to Hangzhou Airport directly. It takes about 2~3 hours and costs more money. On the other hand, you could catch an express bus from Suzhou South Bus Station to Hangzhou East Bus Station firstly. It is 70RMB/adult and takes about 2 hours. Then, you could hire a cab driving you to the airport (about 100RMB and 1 hour).
Although there are direct shuttle bus from Suzhou to Hangzhou, the last one leaves at 16:00. It is a little earlier for you to leave/ However, if possible, you could catch the bus back to Suzhou when you arrive at Hangzhou Airport~

If you choose Shanghai, you should get to the bus station in Zhongxing Road in the north Square of Shanghai Railway Station or Shanghai SOuth Bus Station next to Shanghai South Railway Station. Then change to buses to Pinghu, about 1.5 hour later. If you get to Hangzhou first, you should take airport bus to Wulingmen and then take a taxi to Hangzhou east Bus Station to catch buses to Pinghu. The journey is 1.5 hours.
Suggest you go to Hangzhou first then take buses at Hangzhou East Bus Station to Shaoxing and then to Yiwu and then Wenzhou. They have bus connections.

Is there a bus connection, preferably airport bus, from Xitang to Hangzhou airport. If so, departure times and duration please.

No direct connection from Xitang to Hangzhou AIrport. You should take bus from Xitang to Hangzhou East Railway Station first, about 2 hours or more. Then take a taxi to Wulinmen to catch the airport shuttle bus. The shuttle bus may take 1 hour.

Mr.Hank replied:
I think you could first visit Hangzhou and then depart to Shanghai by train in the afternoon on the third day. Well, in Hangzhou, please look for a hotel around the West Lake so that you could see the beauties completely. In Shanghai, please find a hotel close the the People's Square/Nanjing Road or the Huaihai Road, where located many large shopping malls.

Can you recommend any drivers Vehicle (for 8 pax) for the following as below:
Also what are the prices that we are looking at for each destination?
28 Sep 2009 Hangzhou Pick Up from Airport.
29th Sept 2009 – Hangzhou to Suzhou
1st Oct 2009 – Suzhou to Shanghai
4th -8th Oct 2009 – Shanghai to Haining to Huangshan to Qiandaohu to Hangzhou.
10th Oct 2009 – Hangzhou Departure to Airport

Mr.James replied:
It may cost 300RMB to pick you up at the airport and sent you back to the hotel. It is costs 100RMB for the single trip from airport to city center. Getting out of the city, suggest you rent a vehicle on day basis. It may cost 400-500RMB (eight hours) for car with 11seats. You can find rental car office in 1/F of arrival hall in the airport terminal.

Hello James,
Thanks for your quick reply. One more question, I understand that it is a standard to leave a deposit in China, for car rental. Can you tell me how much are these car rental deposits for my trip? Thank you.
Sep. 23,2009 01:48
Mr.James replied:
You will not drive by yourself, right? Use their driver and you can just pay the rental for the car.

We are leaving from Hangzhou Airport at about 23:00 and live in Suzhou (2adults, 3 children). What are options and recommendations to get to the airport? Arrive back about 13:30 1week later.
Sep. 23,2009 01:31
Mr.Hank replied:

2) i arrived in Xiao Shan airport at 1pm. How many express train to Shanghai is avaliable between 2pm to 5pm. Worry we might need to wait for long time, also will ticket been sold out?
Thanks
Sep. 18,2009 22:43
Mr.Sam replied:
Hello Purenick,
1). your understand about the bus is right.
2). If you could arrive Hangzhou Airport at 1pm, it is better to take a train from Hangzhou Railway Station to Shanghai. From 14:00 to 18:00, there are nine trains departing to Shanghai. So, I think you could purchase tickets easily when you arrive at the railway station, excepting during busy holidays. Well, you could search the train infor at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/
