There are both train and long-distance buses from shanghai to yiwu, from yiwu to ningbo and from ningbo to shanghai. Train is a little cheaper than bus. I suggest you to take the train as the station is easy to find. And it is relatively safer.

Impossible to get to Yiwu from Guangzhou by taxi. You can travel by train. There are three trains a day which can taking you to Yiwu. THe fastest may take nearly 16 hours. All these train are departing from Guangzhou Railway Station, leaving at 08:08, 14:00 and 15:24.

About 3.5 hours by bus from Shanghai to Yiwu. There are many trains every day. If you want to take fast bullet train, you can get Yiwu about 2 hours later from Shanghai South Railway Station. Here are the leaving time from Shanghai: D5685 at 7:10; D5689 at 7:44; D5665 at 13:12; D93 at 15:22, D109 at 15:30; Z27 at 21:51 (Z27 is not bullet train but still fast to arrive in Yiwu in 2 hours 18 minutes)

Lol, thank you for your reply. I ended up just going to the bus station after work on Saturday and asking - they wrote down what stand the bus left from for me. Hangzhou was beautiful. I had a wonderful time.It was such a shame I had to come back on Sunday evening for work this morning :(

I think by train is better,more safe.and also if you take the fast train from Shanghai to yiwu,only takes 2 hours,and Cost Rmb116.00,this is Fast train. As Mr.James Said there are many trains from Shangahai to yiwu.and then from Raiway to city center very easy you just take taxi,maxmium cost Rmb30.00,NO more!!!!

Or, you can try to find taxi from the airport directly from Hangzhou to Yiwu; have an overnight stay at Hangzhou and heading for Yiwu the next day.

Answer you questions: 1. Yiwu is about 200 kilometers from Shaoxing 2. By bus or train: train, 3 hours, about 35 yuan; bus about 2 hours, 40 yuan or so for the ticket 3. For the carpets and rugs, woolen ones, I think Xinjiang is good place to buy. You can also try at Shanghai and Hangzhou wholesale markets. 4. Hotel rate: 200-300 one night

After 8 p.n., both of the shuttle bus from Pudong Airport or the coaches from downtown Shanghai have stopped. So, if you would like to go to Yiwu that day, you may consider going there by train. From Shanghai South Railway Station, there are three trains leaving for Yiwu respectively at 20:50, 21:51 and 23:39. But, very not sure whether you could get a ticket with seat~ The airport shuttle bus Line 7 could drive you to Shanghai South Railway Station in 40 minutes.

the distance between shanghai and yiwu is about 312kilometers and the easiest methord is by train. You can go to Shanghai South Railway Station. there are a lot of trains to head to yiwu. hard seat is about 50 CNY and sofe seat is about 70 CNY. Enjoy your trip!

I think by train is better,more safe.and also if you take the fast train from Shanghai to yiwu,only takes 2 hours,and Cost Rmb116.00,this is Fast train.
As Mr.James Said there are many trains from Shangahai to yiwu.and then from Raiway to city center very easy you just take taxi,maxmium cost Rmb30.00,NO more!!!!

Take the airport bus to Hangzhou City center and then change to taxi for Hangzhou East Railway Station to catch the first train in next day morning (1:42). Or, you can try to find taxi from the airport directly from Hangzhou to Yiwu; have an overnight stay at Hangzhou and heading for Yiwu the next day.

Answer you questions:
1. Yiwu is about 200 kilometers from Shaoxing
2. By bus or train: train, 3 hours, about 35 yuan; bus about 2 hours, 40 yuan or so for the ticket
3. For the carpets and rugs, woolen ones, I think Xinjiang is good place to buy. You can also try at Shanghai and Hangzhou wholesale markets.
4. Hotel rate: 200-300 one night

After 8 p.n., both of the shuttle bus from Pudong Airport or the coaches from downtown Shanghai have stopped. So, if you would like to go to Yiwu that day, you may consider going there by train. From Shanghai South Railway Station, there are three trains leaving for Yiwu respectively at 20:50, 21:51 and 23:39. But, very not sure whether you could get a ticket with seat~
The airport shuttle bus Line 7 could drive you to Shanghai South Railway Station in 40 minutes.
