Mr.B. Chay(Singapore) said:

Hi My name Chay and from Singapore. I will be visiting Qingdao in August for the beer festival. I had Check and found that there are two locations for the festival, namely at Laoshan District and Huiquan Square. Can anyone tell me which is the better location to go, and also give me the name of the hotels nearest to the two locations ? I appreciate the reply. Tks

Jun. 30,2009 22:26
Mr.Colin replied:

THe best place is the Beer City at the junction of East Xianggang Rd and Haier Road, Laoshan District. Not far sway from the place, there are Qingdao Kilin Crown Hotel, Sophia International Hotel, etc.

Jul. 7,2009 09:43
Ms.VERKY replied:

It is often holded in Laoshan district .there is a beer city there .http://cs.hoteljoint.com/Hotel/Best_Western_Kilin_Crown_Hotel_Qingdao.htm
you can click this.this hotel is near beercity

Jul. 9,2009 11:58
Ms.nox(china) replied:

right!
Laoshan area is a good idea.

Aug. 5,2009 00:10
Mr.Chris(Germany) replied:

The Laoshan one is held on a special festival area (called "beer city") which has rides and all the tents. But you have to buy a ticket. The one in Huiquan square is close to beach number one, no rides and fewer tents.
Hotels near any place will be booked full already, better check in other areas (which will be quieter anyway).
Which location is better for you depends on your taste. More action is going on the Laoshan ground.
Cheers

Aug. 16,2009 02:14
Ms.Merry(China) replied:

Hi, Chay. I recommend the Beer City and believe you will enjoy yourself here.

HI
i will be visiting Qingdao ,via Doha or Dubai, in september could any one please tell me the best air route( shortest and lowest cost)

Aug. 12,2009 22:48
Mr.John replied:

You can choose to make transfer at Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing both from Doha or Dubai. If you choose to Qingdao by domestic flight, suggest you choose to land in Shanghai first. Of you get to Beijing first, take bullet trains to Qingdao, the journey within 6 hours. You can also check the airlines if the connecting flights is cheaper.

I would like to know whether any long distance air conditioned buses run between Qingdao to Shanghai at night. How long does this journey take. Also pl inform if there are ferry services between Qingdao & Shanghai?

Aug. 3,2009 05:08
Mr.sun(shanghai) replied:

You could by air,it's fast&cheap.

Aug. 5,2009 00:05
Mr.Chris(Germany) replied:

Yes, lots of busses do the overnight trip from Shanghai to Qingdao and all of them have air-condition. Trip takes between 9 and 12 hours, depending on the number of stops along the way. I've taken the 7 pm bus from Shanghai to Qingdao a few times and almost all of them were ok.
You can also check if the Spring Airlines has a special deal. I found some flights from Pudong to Qingdao for around 200 RMB.

Aug. 5,2009 00:06
Mr.Chris(Germany) replied:

Oh, I meant the bus from Qingdao to Shanghai. There are many busses going to Shanghai, from the Sifang Busstop and also from the one near the train station.

Mr.Luis Serrano(venezuela) said:

Hi ; I will travel To Qingdao next week , August 4. I will take a plane in Shanghai to Weihai.
How far is Weihai to Qingdao ?
What is your recomentation to stay ? Weahai or Qingdao ? Wich hotel you recomend.
Them I will travel to Taijin. We can take a plane in Qingdao?

Jul. 29,2009 21:41
Mr.Shan replied:

The on land distance between Weihai and Qinghai is about 300 kilometers, which takes about 4 hours by bus. Currently, there is no train between them. So, if you would like to take a train, you have to transfer at Yantai. The cost is lesser than taking a bus.

Of course, I think you should stay in Qingdao, which should be the top city in Shandong. And, if you could stay there until to Agust 15, you could participate in the Qingdao International Beer Festival this year. Well, you may refere to the hotel list of this website http://www.travelchinaguide.com/hotel/qingdao-hotels.htm

Yes, there are direct flight from Qingdao to Tianjin. Search the real-time flight information at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/

Aug. 3,2009 05:09
Mr.sun(SHANGHAI) replied:

you can come take a coach to qingdao .less than 150RMB.

Aug. 5,2009 00:02
Mr.Chris(Germany) replied:

Hello!
I did the trip from Qingdao to Weihai last week. No need to fly, there are many busses for around 90 RMB one way. It takes about 3 1/2 hours and the service is from 7 am to 5 pm.
And for the Tianjin trip, I'd recommend you take the express train (the D-train category). They take around 5 hours and are very comfortable.
And yes, I'd also recommend that you stay in Qingdao and not in Weihai. Much more happening in Qingdao.

Have a good trip!

The city in Zhejiang is Yueqing.
how long does it take to travel from Qingdao to Yueqing in Zhejiang?
And how about the guide?

Mr.James replied:

Fly to Wenzhou from Qingdao: Flight No.SC4731 departing at 7:50am and CZ6259 leaveing at 12:00. It take 1.5 hours to Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport. The air[ort seems to have direct buses to Yuqing and get there in 1.5 hours. If you do not find the bus, you can take airport shuttle bus to the city center and take taxi to Wenzhou Passenger Tramsport Center to get the regular buses to Yueqing City. If go by taxi from Wenzhou to Yueqing, it may cost about 200RMB.

Hi, August is the hottest month in Qingdao. July is better. Generaly, it is around 28 C in end of July, or higher aroumd 30C. It is humid and July is in the rainy season. However, it often rains at night, just shower at daytime. Search for the weather on line before you go, it will be much accurate. for the hotels, this might be more useful:
