Hello
Tell me please how can I get to Dishui Lake (near this looong bridge - don't remember name - leading to harbour) from Shanghai. Are there any buses running there? maybe trains, though I haven't seen any railways on maps leading there. Lending a car is not an option unfotunately. And how long aproximately such a trip takes
Thank You very much in advance
Regards!

Mr.J replied:

You can find the Longgang Express Line and Longlin Special Line in Longyang Road Subway Station. The lake is 50 km from the city center of Shanghai. It will take you long time to get there by those buses.

Hello, thanks for that info...can i ask too, if i am arriving in shanghai pudong airport at 3pm and would like to go straight to huangyan (a district in taizhou city, zhejiang), will there be a bus straight from the airport, how will i know the time schedules?

Jul. 5,2009 03:45
Mr.Jack replied:

Suggest you go the Beiqu Bus Station in 80, Gongxing Rd, Zhabei District to catch the one departing at 18:30. There is no direct bus straight to Huangyan from Pudong Airport.

Hi, I want to know if I take the taxi from Shanghai Expo to Pudong International Airport, how long will it take and what is the fee for that? I need to catch the flight at 3:30 p.m. so what time should I leave the expo?

Jul. 3,2009 03:39
Mr.Shan replied:

Do you mean from Shanghai New International Expo Center to Pudong? The taxi fare is about 100RMB and takes 40 minutes on the way. So, if you take an international flight, it is suggested that that leave there around 12:30 at least.

Actually, there is a better choice. The Expo Center is so close to the Airport Maglev Station at Longyanglu. The maglev just costs 40RMB and 8 minutes from Longlonglu to Pudong Airport. So, you could leave the Expo Center leisurely at 13:00.

Please note, because of the H1N1 recently, it is suggested that you leave for the airport a little earlier.

I would like to go to the Jinshan district from Shanghai. Do you know if there are any express buses? and if so, the name or number and where to make connections?

Jun. 18,2009 02:36
Mr.John replied:

Shanghai city center to Jinshan:
take Subway Line 1 to Jinjiang Action Park to find the Meilong Xinan Bus Station and then change to Shi Mei Line or Wei Mei Line to Shihua Bus Station, Jinshan.

dear sir,
i will reach pudong (pvg) airport by the 5.30 pm then i have to go my hotel Super 8 Hotel Shanghai Pudong New District
No.151, Miaopu Road, Pudong District
Telephone: 86-21-50281833
please guide me which is best way to go there.

Q by bus how to go

Jun. 18,2009 02:30
Ms.Jenny replied:

Transportation to the hotel:
1. Maglev train to Longyang Rd and then change to bus 975 to Zhangyang Rd Juye Rd. Suggest you take taxi when you get off the train, for it may be not easy for you to find the bus.
2. Take Airport Bus Line 5 to Century Av. (Dongfang Yiyuan), or Airport Line 3 or 6 to Longyang Rd - then take taxi to the hotel

Hi there. I will be arriving in Shanghai on the 27th in Pudong Airport and my hotel is in Hengsheng Peninsula, located along Wusong Road near Suzhou River. How can I go to my hotel by BUS? Please help me what bus should I take from Pudong Airport to get to my hotel. Thanks so much.

Mar. 24,2009 22:42
Mr.Bruce(China) replied:

Two better ways to the hotel.
Take express airport bus Line 5 from Pudong airport to Shanghai Railway Station and trasfer to city bus 13,63, 922 to Wusong Rd (crossing of Haining Rd).

Take Maglec train to Longyang Rd subway station and change Subway 2 to Century Avenue, then transfer to Subway Line 4 to Hailun Rd (north end of Wusong Rd).

The most convinient is taking a taxi instead of complex transfer when you get to Shanghai Railway station, longyang Rd or Century Avenue. It is not so far away from the hotel.

I will be reaching Pudong International airport on 24th April at about 7 AM. From there I wish to reach the Passenger Ship Cruise Terminal in Shanghai to board a ship of the Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines. Kindly tell me how can I reach there by direct bus service. What will be the cost and how much time it will take?

Feb. 24,2009 19:25
Ms.Meng replied:

Hi, I'm afraid that no shuttle and train run directly between Pudong and the Port. So, you have to hire a taxi. It will take you about 50 minutes to get to the terminal. The fare should be no less than 150rmb.

Mar. 1,2009 17:49
Mr.Raghavan(India) replied:

Hi Arun,

When you arrive in Pudong airport, take the Maglev train within the airport to reach the last station - Longyang road (Longyang Lu in Chinese - Lu meaning road). The fare is 50 RMB for a one way trip. From there take a taxi to the port. Pls have the Chinese text in your mobile / BB to show the taxi driver otherwise your English is of no relevance in Shanghai as even simple English words like yesterday, tomorrow, right and left are not understood.

If it is not in the rush hour, it is easy to have a seat. We lived nearby the Shanghai South Railway Station, and went to Cheng Huang Miao and other places by bus. Its 1yuan ticket is far cheaper than the metro. Ha-ha, although I remembered our stops in Chinese, I still couldn't understand what the conductors said. It was lucky that the stations were also announced both in English and in Chinese automaticcally.
