Hi, you can walk through Nanjing Road and then reached the Bund to see the river. Went to Wujiang Rd, Yuyuan to tase the local snack. To visit Xintiandi for the bars. Yuyuan is not far away from the bund, I walked for half a hour to the snack place.
Enjoy~

Ji Jess
we had great time at the following places. Bar Zapata, Bar Rouge and Xin Tin Di area (several bars and good dining here). Suggest you ask someone to write down the names in Chinese for the cab driver.

Mr.DATA1000(China) replied:

For some wonderful views, start at Nanjing Dong-Lu (Nanjing East-Road) by People's Square. Walk east along the street. Keep walking until you get to Waitan (the Bund). From Waitan, there is a great view of the colorful tall buildings of the Pudong area.

Hello,

I am in Shanghai right now. Does anyone know of a movie theatre that shows English movies and is near a metro station? Thanks!

Jun. 5,2009 22:34
Mr.Shan replied:

If only there is an English movie, most of the movie theaters in Shanghai will show it at the same time. So, just tell the cinema assistant that you want a movie in English version.

You may consider the these cinemas which are close the largest subway hub of Shanghai-the People's Square. Here are some for your reference: Peace Cinema (290, Xizang Zhong Road), Ever Shining Circuit (216, Nanjing West Road), Studio City (1038, Nanjing West Road)

Hi people looking to live in shanghai for a while with my friend and although we want to get involved with the eastern culture and nightlife we're going to be there a long time so would also like to know which bars/clubs are popular with westerners in case we get homesick! I know a lot of the bars and clubs frequented by expats are quite expensive are there any cheap ones?

May. 27,2009 01:29
Mr.Qi replied:

Try to find in Hengshan Rd, Xintiandi and Tongren Rd bar street. You can go to the George V bar in Urumqu Rd, opposite the American Consulate. Drinks are sold at half price during 7:30-8:30pm. NOt sour about it now. Comparatively, it is cheaper among surrounding bars.
