Mr.Jerry replied:

Hello ben. It is available. As far as I know, there are four customs in Guangxin province can issue on-site visa on arrival: Nanning Airport, Pingxiang Youyi Pass, Songxing and Guilin. Make your open bus route pass one of them. :-)

I plan on traveling to China (2nd time) in July. This time, we would like to see more of the south and would like to go to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Nanning, Yulin ( Luchuan) and back to Hon Kong. Is there a bus or train that could get us to each city and back? Would this have to be booked before departing the USA? Thank you for your help...

Jun. 12,2009 02:40
Mr.Walt replied:

Yes, you way from Hong Kong->Guangzhou->Nanning->Yulin could be finised both by train and by bus. However, if you would like to go back to Hk from Yulin, I'm afraind that you have to transfer at Guangzhou since there is no direct train from Yulin to HK.

And, except the trains and buses bwtween HK and Guangzhou, you couldn't book any other tickets by yourself overseas. But, you could purchase the bus tickets just when you arrive at the bus station.

Hope helps!

Jun. 12,2009 02:30
Ms.Coco replied:

Hi sir, currently, there is one scheduled flight leaving from HK Airport to Nanning directly everyday. If you miss the flight, you may take flights from Shenzhen Airport, where five flights depart to Nanning everyday. The transport from HK Airport to Shenzhen Airport is also convenient~

Well, the flight search tool of this website may help you: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-flights/

Nanning is a city, so not sure what you meant by cities? Usually, people go to Guilin from Nanning, and then extend the trip to Yangshuo, Longsheng.

I am planning to visit Guangxi province in June, and would like to travel from Beihai to Liuzhou. What is the best way to do this? By train or by bus...and how long do you think the travel time would be? Xie xie

It will be better by bus. If going by train, you should make a transfer at Nanning. Bus is direct and convinient. It needs about 6 hours.

Guangxin Yunde Tourist Bus terminus in 10,You'ai Lu has regulat long-distance bus routes to Vietnam, including Hanoi, Halong Bay and Haiphone. Langdong Bus station in Nanning also have buses to Vietnam. Usually, there are two buses a day for each route, and the departing time is in early morning between 7am - 10am. The whole journey for these direct buses would take 8 hours to the destinations in Vietnam.

Can I go from Hanoi Vietnam to Guangxi and what' s type of trasportation , have any direct train?

Feb. 3,2009 14:55
Mr.Brian(USA) replied:

You can go from Hanoi to Guangxi by bus. You'll take the bus to the China border then switch to a Chinese bus from there.

Feb. 28,2009 21:22
Mr.NICEMAN(CHINA) replied:

Train from Hanoi to Naning is not a good choice. You have to be waken up in the middle of night due to the change train in the border. I suggest you take direct bus from Hanoi. It takes 7 hours and costs USD20.
