Hi, you couldn't purchase a ticket at Beijing Airport. And, it is also difficult to get one on the same day at the railway station. The train ticket from Beijing to Guangzhou is needed urgently. The fastes train from Beijing to Guangzhou will take 20.5 hours and costs about 450RMB/hard-spleer/one-trip. So, if you will not travel in the peak season, please consider flying to Guangzhou from Beijing directly. The airfare is almost the same with the train fare.

This hotel is located close to the Zhangzizhong Station of Beijing subway Line 5, so I think you could use the subway easily.
From airport to Bo Tai Hotel: for a easy way, you could take the Airport Express Train (25RMB/adult) to Dongzhimen or the airport shuttle bus Line 2 (16RMB/adult) to Dong Sishitiao Qiao firstly. Then, hire a taxi (15RMB)to drive to the hotel. The former one takes about 40minutes and the latter one is about 1 hour.
To Temple of Heaven, please take the subway Line 5 from Zhangzizhong Station and get off at the Temple of Heaven. Just costs 2RMB/adut and 10 minutes.

You could search the fare information at http://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ Child under 1.1meters is for free, 1.1~1.5meters requires a half-price ticket, over 1.5 meters child should purchase full ticket as adult.

Hi, I am a Malaysian and wants to purchase train ticket from Beijing to Ulanbaatar, Mongolia. People told me that I cannot purchase the ticket at railway station, but must go through travel agency? Is this correct? Please tell me who can I contact in regards to purchasing the ticket?

Mr.Qi replied:
No, Amelia. It does not mean that your should ask a travel agency to buy the ticket for you. You should get to the Interntional Travel Agency behind the Beijing International Hotel to buy the ticket there.

Can anyone recommend a good Chinese travel agency from which I can book a train ticket in advance from outside China and have it delivered to my hostel in China for pick-up upon my arrival?
I have a flight to Beijing arriving in the afternoon and a hostel booking for one night only. I intend to leave for Harbin the following night, but my hostel will not book train tickets for guests until they have checked in.
