Jul. 26,2009 01:37
Mr.Qi replied:

Yes, you can buy a card for a few days. You can give it back when you are leaving. This can be achieved in some big subway stations and you can get back your balance and deposit back.

Dear Sir/Madam

We arrive in beijing on the 3rd of august and i was wandering what subway line do i have to take to get to 28 Dong Jiao Min Xiang,
Dongcheng District, Beijing and how long does it take?

cheers

Jul. 4,2009 02:19
Mr.Shan replied:

Well, the nearest subway station is the Qianmen Station of Line 2, which is still 2 stops to 28, Dong Jiao Min Xiang by city-bus. If possible, you could walk to the hotel easily~

So, if you arrive at Beijing Capital Airport, please take the Airport Express to arrive at Dongzhimen Station (30 minutes)and then transfer to Line 2 to Qianmen in 20 minutes.

Hi there,
Which subway line should I take from dongzhimen subway station to beijing south railway station for the Beijing-Tianjin bullet train?

Jun. 13,2009 02:06
Ms.Jackie replied:

I'm afraid that there is no subway leading you to Beijing South Railway Station directly. So, please considering taking the city-bus. At Dongzhimen bus terminal, you could take the city-bus No.106 to arrive the Beijing South Railway Station. But,please note that the bullet train doesn't depart here. Then, you have to take the ferry bus from here to reach the south square of Beijing South Railway Station, where you could catch a bullet train~

A little complicated~ Good luck!

Ms.Irene(Malaysia) replied:

What if I take the airport shuttle bus directly to Beijing Railway Station and take a bus to Beijing South Railway Station? What number bus should I take to reach Beijing South Railway Station?

Thanks alot!

Would you kindly inform me whether the subway between beijing railway station to
beijing west railway station is opened. If not kindly advise me the fastest way to
go to beijing west from Dongzhimen station. Thank you

Jun. 5,2009 05:18
Mr.Shan replied:

Hi, the subway between these two station has not been opened until now. One possible method for you: take the subway Line 2 at Beijing Railway Station and then transfer to Line 1 at Fuxingmen Station, finally get off at Military Museum Station. Out of the subway station, you could find the city-buses of 320, 21, 40 and 414 taking you to Beijing West Railway Station quickly, just two stops~ or, you could ride a taxi, just cost 10RMB

Hi, my family will be in Beijing on June, I have 2 children with me , is there any shuttle bus(transfer bus) direct to the Novotel Peace hotel from the Airport. Thanks!

May. 11,2009 20:30
Mr.James replied:

HI, Lim. Fortunately, I have answered the same question in the BY Air section. Take Airport Bus Line 3 and get off at Yabao Lu. Walk westforward, you can find Jinyu Hutong. The hotel is at 3, Jingyu Hutong, Wangfujing. You can take a taxi to the hotel, just have to pay CNY10, the starting price. About 2 km from the airport bus station you get off at. Good Luck!

I have to take the subway from Beijing Airport to Dongzhimen station and from there take the No. 918 bus to Pinggu on April 30th 2009.

How do I go about buying the ticket when I arrive at Terminal 3? Which line should I use, Line 2 or Line 13? I think there is more than one exit at Dongzhimen, how do I know which exit to stop at?

Apr. 13,2009 22:36
Mr.Qi replied:

You can take Line Li (Airport Express). It can reach Dongzhimen within 20 minutes. You can just heading for the exit of Dongzhimen Traffic Pivot. The bus station is just inside the pivot station.

Please advise if I can take public transport from the International Airport to Chongwenmen area to where my hotel is (ChongWenMen Hotel)? The Map you have shows L1 but I don't think that this is the Subway line. I just want to be sure what/where to start and all the transfers in between. I think at one point, I would have to get onto Subway line 2 at either Dongzhimen or is it Beixinqiao? Please advise the approximate time of travel from Airport to Hotel. Thank you.

Mar. 5,2009 21:52
Mr.Shan replied:

Hello, this way may be ok:
Firstly, leave the airport by the Airport Express Rail and then get off at its terminal Dongzhimen.
Secondly, at the Dongzhimen Station, you could take the Subway Line2 and then get off at Chongwenmen Station. Out of the Exit C, you will find the hotel is just located to the southwest~
The whole journey takes about 50 minutes at most:)

As one of the co-investors and constructors is Hong Kong’s Mobile Through Railway Corporation Limited (MTR Corporation Limited), the special trains designed for Subway Line 4 incorporate many features of the trains in Hong Kong. For instance, passengers can speak right to the operators of a train through the communicating devices in case of an emergency, and also evacuation exits can be found in the front of the steering room.

Beijing Subway Line 4 is expected to be in trial operation in late September 2009. The trains will run every 3 minutes during rush hours. The maximum speed can reach to 80 km per hour. The marked capacity of train seating is 1,408. Passengers can freely open the carriage windows for ventilation, but eating and drinking inside the compartments is forbidden. This is to ensure that the air is kept fresh. Subway Line 4 has back-ordered 40 trains. 36 trains will be put into operation, and four will be in reserve. The manufacturer has delivered four trains each month since last November. The whole project will be finished by this July.
