hi,i think if you are not buying in big quantity, it is not nessary to buy directly from factory. You can go to the wholesale market, get a reasonable price. sometimes, it is even better than buying from the factories. Besides, most of the wholesaler there are the factory representitive.

Yes, it is a lucury shopping place in Guangzhou having Dior, Burberry, Celine, Armani, Givenchy, but Channel is not there. You can find Channel in Friendship Department Store also in Guan Shi Dong Lu, the same road as La Perle Plaza.

For the sake of safety and environment, I suggest you choose a hotel in Tianhe (near Tianhe Commercial City),Haizhu Square or Beijing Road. THey are clothes to shopping complex and business streets. Weather in March: a bit rainy, temperature around 20C maybe cooler sometimes, bring coat.

Yes, there are several garments wholesale market in Zhanxi Road and Zhannan Road near Guangzhou Railway Station. I am a fraid it is not available to find branded clothing in whosale price, unless imitations. If you want to see some branded stuff, outlets and factory shop are better choice. At present, I know there is only one big outlets in Wanbo Center Shopping Street. Another two outlets are going to be built within this year and next year. To find some famous sport brands, WANGUO-PLAZA in Haizhu District is has factory shops.

The Market will be open at weekends. it is Baima Area( beside train station). Both Summer and winter items are available.
You can go to Guangzhou Train station (not the east station) and Sanyuanli. You can find everything you need there. The shopkeepers generally don't speak good english, they will use calculator to bargin price with you. They won't arrange shipping.

Take Airport shuttle bus Line 5 to Haizhu Square, then walk to the hotel. You can walk about 600 meter to Haizhu Square Subway Station from the hotel and use metro to Guangzhou Railway Station. Baima Wholesale market is just not far away to the opposite the Railway Station in Zhannan Road.

For car audio system, you can get to Huangshi Road. There are many stores for you to choose. You can take Bus 36 at Beijing Road and get off at Huangshi Rd East. To buy electronics stuff, my suggestion is you has better by at relialbe digital product shopping malls. You can get to TIanhe area. Take subway Line 1 at Gongyuanqian to Tiyuxilu. Then change to Line 3 to Gangding (two stops). You can find the Pacific there.
