Hi, May i know the on-site visa office that mentioned in the forum here is not the CTS office right ? I know there used to be one visa office located at the 2nd floor on the right side of the hall. So i will still be able to apply for an on-site visa so long as before 2400hrs? Thank you.

Nov. 4,2009 01:14
Mr.Jamie replied:

You mean the office in Gongbei Border? There is visa office of Gongbei Custom, it is in the 2nd floor of the Arrival Hall when you get in from Macau. The CTS office is not in the border building. Gongbei is not open 24 hours so the visa office is not open all day, seems to be 08:30—12:15;13:00—18:15;19:00—22:30.

Hi, I'm a Malaysian holding a Malaysian passport. I will be going to Macau in early December this year, might be going to Zhuhai from Macau. I understand that I do not need a visa to enter Macau but need a visa to enter Zhuhai. Is it convenient to apply for the visa at the Gong Bei customs checkpoint? And if yes, how long would it take? Thanks.

The last time I went Macau and ask the hotel staff to help me to apply for a 1week visa at about RM 30 to go into Zuhai and she did it for me at a internet shop and within 24hrs ready. It comes in a piece of paper intead on sticker on your passport.

Hi,

My friends and me will be travelling to Macau this Jan 22-24, 2010 and we're planning to visit New Yuanming Palace in ZHUHAI. How can we go there via bus and how long will it take from the border? How can we return to Macau from Yuanming?

thanks,
rodski

You can take city Bus 1 fro Gongbei Border to Yuanming New Palace. Not far away, for only about 5 stops. When you get back to macau, use the same bus line to Gongbei and pass the border to Macau.

Goodday to everybody,
Please advise where to board Sightseeing Bus No.2 after entering Zhuhai from Macau and will I be able to alight at the Fisher Girl Statue or anywhere along the route for that matter? If able to, will I be able to catch another bus No. 2 to go back to Gongbei?
Thank you very much for your response.

Oct. 18,2009 03:04
Mr.Andrew replied:

The bus line passes Gongbei Boder and you can just find it when you get out of the custom. Take the East Line to Fisher Girl statue. Yes, you can take the same line back to Gongbei. It also passes Qinglv Road, where you can see beach, Zhuhai International Circuit, Lingjiaozui bathing beach and Xiangzhou for shopping.

I plan to china from 16 - 22 Dec to places like zuhai-foshan-guangzhou-macau. Arriving in Macau on 16 Dec around 5.00pm will take a taxi to zhuhai & stay 1 or 2 nites at zhuhai then proceed to foshan or guangzhou. Would like to know which is d convenient hotel to stay in Zhuhai for food & shopping as I have my kid with me and how to rent a van from zhuhai to either foshan or guangzhou as we have around 6 pax, or just take long-distance coach ?

Oct. 15,2009 01:04
Mr.Leo replied:

It is suggested that you look for a hotel close to the Gongbei Port, where you could do shopping and dining easily. On the other hand, it will ease the transportation. Well, here is a hotel list for your reference: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/hotel/zhuhai-hotels.htm

I think you could rent a 7-seats van to drive you to Foshan and Guangzhou. Please ask for help from a travel agency or car rental company in advance.

Actually, I don't think there are any very good shopping places in Zhuhai. Why don't you go to Macau Shenzhen or Hong Kong for shopping. It is very easy to get there from Zhuhai.

Oct. 8,2009 01:07
Mr.Jerry replied:

Macau to Zhuhai is the shortest. You can just take taxi or city bus to Gongbei Border and then pass the custom. You are in Zhuhai then. Zhuhai Jiuzhou Port has ferry to Shenzhen Shekou (80RMB), it takes about one hour. Jiuzhou Port is only 15 minute's drive from Gongbei. Gongbei Bus Station also have buses to Shenzhen (75RMB) which will take 3 hours. It costs the same time from Zhuhai to DOngguan.

Mr.Dekker(the Netherlands) said:

Dear,

I want to go with my girlfriend to Zhuhai from Guangzhou end this year.
However she is car-sick an could sit no longer than 1 hour in a bus or car.
I know that their are no trains going from GZ to Zhuhai, because it is still under construction. Also the option of going first to Macau by train is impossible, because of my current VISA status. (I have Z visa, but it has just been extended as single entry, which has already been used.)
Are there on the (rail)way from GZ to Zhuhai more trainstations and/or stops, just before entering Macau where we can stop and drive the last miles per car/bus to Zhuhai? Or are there other options we can consider?

Thanks in advance!

Sep. 24,2009 01:31
Mr.Jerry replied:

Yes, train service from Guangzhou to Zhuhai is not available at all. Perhaps, you should take bus to ZHongshan from Guangzhou (a bit over one hour) then have a rest to take another bus to Zhuhai (one hour).

Oct. 7,2009 00:49
Mr.Ian(austrlai) replied:

Z visa should have been converted to a work permit by the company you are working for. You must attend to that immediately. Z visa is only ever single entry.
