Hello,

I would like to know at what time in the morning do the soldiers/guards rise the flag on Tiananmen?
I am right now in Beijing and would like to go there some day in the morning and see the ceremony.

Mr.red flag(cn) replied:

Hi,Michael K. The time to rise the flag on Tiananmen varies. It will be 05:25 on 14 August, 05:26 on 15 August and one minute more for the next day and so on in August. What time will you go to see? Generally speaking it is around 05:30 in August. Lots of people go to see the ceremony, and safty inspection is conducted, so you'd better get to Tiananmen square an hour earlier.

Mao Zedong Memorial Hall is at the south side of the Square. This Hall is divided into three halls and our dear Chairman Mao's body lies in a crystal coffin in one of the halls surrounded by fresh bouquets of various famous flowers and grasses.
