Hi ryan, there are no direct shuttle to Sofitel. you can take the shuttle to the Bell Tower and then go to Sofitel by taxi. The taxi will cost you about 10 RMB if the texi driver is honest.

Hi, I am planning to travel to hanzhong from Xi'an airport. Based on the above guide, the bus service to hanzhong only runs at an interval of 3hrs (11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00). Wonder if there is any other bus (direct) service that goes to Hanzhong beside the one at the airport? There should be some bus service in the Xi'an City Centre, isn't it?
Sep. 8,2009 22:53 Mr.Shan replied:
Yes, there are~ When you arrive at the airport, please take the airport shuttle bus Line 5 to Xishaomen then take a cab (about 10RMB) or the city-buses Nos. 23, 222 and 252 to Xi'an Cheng Xi Coach Station. Here, you could take a coach to Hanzhong City from 07:00 to 20:00 about every 30 minutes.
On the other hand, you could take the shuttle bus Line 4 to the Oriental Hotel and then take a cab (6RMB) to Xi'an Cheng Nan Coach Station, where coaches to Hanzhong depart from 08:00 to 18:30 hourly. The journey is about 3.5 hours.

Apr. 15,2009 04:36 Ms.Jane replied:
Unless you will arrive at Xian early in the mornig, I think it is impossible for you to travel through these three palces in a day. It is because the terra cotta warriors and horses is not located in the downtown area of Xi'an that you must have a half day there plus time on the road.
So, this condition is that you at least arrive in Xi'an at 08:00. Firstly, take the airport shuttle Line 2 to Xi'an Railway Station (1 hour). At the railway station, take the tourism bus No.5(306)to the terra cotta warriors (40 minutes to 1 hour), visit the musuem and return to Xi'an Railway Station(3 hours). Take a taxi or city-bus to the Bell Tower or the Wild Pagoda, vice versa. Tips: the enterance to the Pagoda is close around 17:30, and the Bell Tower is close at 22:00.

Yes please. The problem is according to the new visa requirement we have to give the Chinese Embassy confirmed hotel reservations for the full stay in China. I have already paid for my full stay. I will not be sleeping for 2 nights in my hotel in Beijing but I have paid for it plus the train, so another night in Xian again will be an additional cost. With out the train tickets I did not want to take a chance. The Agents I contacted wanted US $166 for 2 soft sleeper tickets to book in advance, I thought it was over priced.
What are my chances of getting two tickets and are there soft seats as wellon the Z train ? Most importatnt is there a foreign ticket counter at Xian Station so that I can go there straight away.
I would really appreciate your answers to these please and thanks a lot once again

US 66 for one soft sleeper, right? Buying tickets in the counter, usually, the fare for one lower berth of soft sleeper is 417 yuan (about US61), plus 5 yuan service fee. I have no idea if you can book ticket by calling 96688688. I usually use it, but seems no english language to choose and I also do not know if it is possible to use passport instead of ID card.
