Hui Min Jie, also the Moslem Street, is a busy place. There are many authentic snacks hiden in lanes of Hui Min Jie. I often visit there for a friend of mine live in depth of the lanes. You can see what is Moslem fair on every Sunday. Muslims in their traditional costumes are everywhere. Many foreigners and visitor from other cities like to explore it by their own.
Hui Min Jie is partly rebuilt with its road newly paved. I like eating glutinous rice cake best and that sold in Dongnanya Jinggaowang (name of the shop) is the most popular. For most of the time, you should stand in line and wait.
Getting out of the Hui Min Jie through Daxuexi Xiang, or the Drum Tower, you will get to the West Street, right near from the Parkon and Minsheng Department Store. You can shop and admire the building in ancient styles along the two sides.
