What you think?I'm thinking if i could book an hotel at Kowloon but others told me that its not advisable since its far from peak, ocean park, disney although its near ferry going to macau. Do you know hotels in kowloon where can we stay which cost HK 200-250?:)and a nice place also. :)
Thanks Ms. Liz. :) have a nice day
Nov. 7,2009 21:40 Ms.Liz replied:
To Ms Brenda. I don't think it is a bad idea to stay in Kowloon area which is comparatively cheaper. If the hostel is located far from MTR stations, it is easy to get tho those places you want to visit. Chungking Mansions in Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui has many budget hostels within the buildong. This one: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/hotel/hampton-hotel-hong-kong.htm is also a cheap hotel. It is in Mong Kok, between Yau Ma Yei MTR Station and Mong Kok MTR Station. Via MTR, you can get to Admiralty from te hotel. Then catch bus 629 to Ocean Park and can walk to the Peak from Admiralty. As to Disneyland, it is faraway wherever you live. You need to make few transfers: Yau Ma Tei/Mongkok to Lai King to Sunny Bay to Disneyland.:-) Hope it helps.

Hi, I would just like to know the cheapest way to get to BP International hotel from the airport. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 6 and 8 with 2 luggages. Will it be more convenient to just take taxi? What taxi should we take and how much will it all cost? Thanks!
Oct. 21,2009 20:20 Mr.Leo replied:
If you would like to ease the trip with kids, please hire a cab driving to the hotel directly. The fare is about HK$300~350. Alternatively, you could take the Airport Express train to get to Kowloon Station firstly. Here, you could transfer to the free shuttle bus K4 to reach the hotel directly. The fare is just 220HK$ before Dec 21, 2009.
Thanks, Mr. Leo. We will be arriving on December 30, 2009. How much will it cost us, 2 adults and 2 children (6 and 8 years old) if we decide to ride the airport express to BP Intl Hotel? Thank you so much for the quick reply.
I think best way is to take taxi (red) to take you to BP Int'l in Austin Road, TST. Fare should be approxmately HK$250. Taxi's better because it will take you directly to your hotel unlike when taking Airport Express where you still have to go to K4 and wait for the free shuttle bus that will take you to BP Int'l. Hope this helps you. Have a nice trip!!

The cab of HK allows five adults (exclude the drivers)together. So, if one of your children is little, I think you could hire a cab from the airport to the hotel directly. The fare is HKD250/cab.
Other, you could take the hotel shuttle bus at the Airport Shuttle Bus Service Counter (A16 or B16). The fare is HKD100/person.

Well, I haven't found the Crescent B6 you metioned, but if it is located in Tung Chung, I think you could take a cab in blue color from the airport to arrive there directly. The fare is not expensive.
In the evening, it is suggested that you take the metro of Tung Chung Line to its terminal at Hong Kong. From here, you could go to the Victoriall Peak for a night view. Then, return to Tung Chung by metro.
On Day 1, I think you will spend most of the time in the Disneyland. If there is time left in the afternoon, you could fo to the Buddha with 360cable car. Or, you could go to the Citygate Outlet for shopping, which is just located at the metro station of Tung Chung.
On Day 2, you could go to the the Ocean Park for a visit. And, do some shopping in Central in the late afternoon. Today, you should leave for the airport at 20:00 at least~

hi, my plane lands at 10:45pm. We are a party of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids under 12) Will we be in time to catch the last Airport express bus A21 to Novetal Hotel in Nathan road? Otherwise, what would be the next best option? Can the bus store large luggages?
If catching taxi after midnight, if there a surcharge?
I have 3 full days in Hong Kong. Apart from a day in Disneyland and another in Ocean Park, would it be a good idea to squeeze a day trip to Macau versus the Science museum?
Can I optimise the normal Octopus card for the following destinations or is it better I pay per trip and use a combo of bus, taxi and Ocean park special bus 629 to get around for 2 adults and 2 kids?
Airport (via express bus) to Hotel Novotel at Nathan Road Novotel to Ocean Park ( return) Novotel to Macau (return ) Novotel to Disneyland Disneyland to Airport
Thanks
Oct. 29,2009 04:25 Ms.Sisley replied:
Please don't worry! Even if you miss the bus A21, you could take its night line N21 for instead. The bus is in operation from 00:20 everyday. You should get off at the 32th station called 32 Nathan Hotel, Nathan Road. Then, you could walk to the Novetal Hotel easily. The bus has enought space for taking your luggages.
If you take a taxi, the fare should be about 250~300HKD excluding the luggage fee. There is no surcharge at night.
I think there is no need for you to purchase the Octopus card since you will have a short holiday. Please pay the ticket fare by cash.

hi, my plane lands at 10:45pm.
Airport (via express bus) to Hotel Novotel at Nathan Road
Novotel to Ocean Park ( return)
Novotel to Macau (return )
Novotel to Disneyland
Disneyland to Airport
Thanks

Ms.Sisley replied:
Please don't worry! Even if you miss the bus A21, you could take its night line N21 for instead. The bus is in operation from 00:20 everyday. You should get off at the 32th station called 32 Nathan Hotel, Nathan Road. Then, you could walk to the Novetal Hotel easily. The bus has enought space for taking your luggages.
If you take a taxi, the fare should be about 250~300HKD excluding the luggage fee. There is no surcharge at night.
I think there is no need for you to purchase the Octopus card since you will have a short holiday. Please pay the ticket fare by cash.

Hi! There are 5 of us travelling to HKG on Dec. 30/09. I don't think we can take one cab to go to BP Int'l. Hotel. Would it be better to take Airport Express MTR instead of the Airport Shuttle Bus to take us to BP Int'l. Hotel? How much will it cost us if we take the Airport Express & Airport Shuttle Bus? Thank you very much in advanced. . .
Oct. 24,2009 20:55
Mr.Norman replied:
Airport express: 90HKD to Kowloon MTR Station and then change to airport express free shuttle bus K4 to BP Int'l.
Airport bus: Take Airport Bus A21 to Prudential Centre and walk west along Austin Rd for 5 minutes. Fare: 33HKD

Mr.Jason replied:
It will cost about 300HKD from HKIA to the hotel, takes about 45 minutes. If you do not want to take public transport, it is better to take the shuttle bus offered by the hotel. It only costs 120HKD.

Thanks Mr Leo will take note of that.
Another qn, is it not advisable for 2 adult to bring a 13 month old baby and a 3 year old kid to Ocean Park?
I read from some review that the park is not baby and small kid friendly?
Oct. 21,2009 20:24
Mr.Frankie replied:
Please take it easy! You could take your two kids to the Ocean Park, where you will find many little kids. Actually, the park is specially for children~

Hi, I think your itinerary goes well. Just do it~ It is suggested that you go to the airport a little earlier on the last day since 3.5 hours sounds a little urgently for catching an international flight on weekend.

Yes, when you get off the Airport Express at Kowloon, you could take the free shuttle bus K5 to reach the Metropark Hotel directly. As I know, the hotel doesn't supply free bus to the Airport directly.
