From railway station, you can take subway line 1 to Splendid China. Get on at the subway station under the railway station and get off at the WOW station.

The fare is according to the sections every of which includes five stop stations. You should pay CNY2 for the first three stop stations and CNY1 is added when you enter into the next section. The whole Line 1 will cost CNY5. The operating hours range from 06:30 to 23:00. During some important festivals, the service time will be prolonged to 24:00.

Hi I am going to guanzhou and i have taken single entry chinese visa. Do i need a seperate visa to go from guanzhou to shenzhen. I believe since both cities are part of china so one single entry visa should be sufficient to visit both places. After shenzhen i plan to visit hongkong and i have found for trip of less than 14 days duration, visa for hongkong is free on arrival. Please suggest if it is not so.

Aug. 4,2009 20:23
Mr.jim(cn) replied:

What do you mean by entrance fee? If you want to go to shenzhen, a china visa and a valid passport is needed. Hong Kong is visa-free to malaysia for three months. SO, you do not need to apply a visa for traveling in Hong Kong.

hi all,
we'll (5 pax) be landed in shenzhen airport n will go to WoW,Splendid China, n Folk Cultural Village.
what time does the 2nd (outdoor) night perfomance in splendid china/Folk C.Village (which one i'm not sure) finished? after that, what's d best way to go to HK kowloon from there? Where can we leave our luggages in storage while we enjoy d tour?

May. 24,2009 02:43
Mr.Andy replied:

The night performance seems to be at the Folk Village at 7:30pm. The splendid China and the folk village share one ticket, but the Splendid China is closed early at 6pm and the village at 9pm. Then, you can take buses to Shenzhen Railway Station to catch the train to Mongkok, or get to Huanggang border then change to buses to any places of Kowloon after passing the border.

Guangdong Baiyun City Hotel is not bad. It's neat the Guangzhou Railway Station. There are some wholesale markets around it. Guangzhou Home Inn at Shangxiajiu Lu (Shangxia 9 Road) is also good.

Why not use travelchinaguide.com to book a hotel for you in advance?

Hello , i need to buy traditional chinese kimono's for my neices , can someone suggest me a good place to shop ? I'll be at Shenzen for a training programme, with little time to spare in the evenings , also suggest any shoe / local market ....

Aditya

May. 15,2009 02:13
Ms.Jane replied:

Hi, kimono is the traditional cloth of Japan, not China. The traditional chinese cloth for female is cheong-sam (Qi Pao)or Tang Suit (Tang Suit). Usually, you could find them in any departmen store. If possible, please go to Dongmen Pedestrian Street where some featured shops are located.

What would be the best place/places to visit for 1 da - Windows of the World, Splendid China or China Folk Village. What has the best night show?

May. 12,2009 01:32
Ms.Jane replied:

If you would like to experience some exciting activities, go to the Window of the World. The Splendid China and Folk Village have been combined together to show Chinese culture. Actually, these three parks are close to each other, you could view them in one day. For performance, it seems that the Window of the World is attractive.
