Hi, I saw on the "discovery hongkong" website that the way to get to Stanley market is to take bus from Exchange Square Bus Terminus. Anyone knows how long the bus journey will take (on a weekday afternoon)? How much will it cost a family of 5? Is it cheaper to take a Taxi, and will the taxi take 3 adults and 2 kids in it?

Lifted from "discovery hongkong" website:
Stanley Market & Murray House
1. MTR Hong Kong Station Exit D and take bus 6, 6A, 6X, 66 or 260 at Exchange Square Bus Terminus.

Nov. 4,2009 20:40
Ms.Sisley replied:

The bus fare of 6 is HKD7.9/adult and HKD4/child. The other buses' fare is HKD8.4/adult and HKD4.2/child. It should be much cheaper than take a taxi. The journey is about 50 minutes by bus.

Hi, we are a party of four (2 parents, 2 kids (10 &1)). We plan to go directly to Macau from the HK airport. How do we go about it? Can we ride a bus, taxi or airport express to go directly to the ferry station to Macau? What do you think is the advisable means of transportation considering that we have a baby and of course a stroller with us. Also, from Macau the next day, we shall head into our hotel Kowloon Ramada. What do we ride on going to the hotel from the Ferry Station? Thanks a lot. I will really appreciate your advise.

Nov. 1,2009 00:54
Ms.Liz replied:

Go by ferry. There are direct ferry at the ferry terminal in Hong Kong Airport. This is the simplest way for you. From the ferry terminal to the hotel, you can choose to land on China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui and then take a taxi to the hotel.

I will be flying in to Macau from Manila and from macau i will take ferry going to Hong Kong. I will be staying in Dorsett Fareast located in Tsuen Wan. Can anyone please tell me if there is a bus from HK Macau Ferry going to Tsuen Wan... If none, then please tell me what other options i will take. Thanks

Oct. 25,2009 20:13
Ms.Liz replied:

Outside HK Macau Ferry Bus Terminus in Connaught Road Central bus terminus, you can find red mini bus to Tsuen Wan. The other option: use MTR from Sheung Wan (where the HK Macau Ferry Terminal is located) to Central (one stop) and then change to Tsuen Wan Line to the last stop, Tsuen Wan.

Oct. 21,2009 20:07
Ms.liv replied:

Yes, you are right with the route to be there. The mtr in Hong Kong still operates late at night. For example, the last of the disney Line is at 00:59. Most of the MTR stops runing after midnight. So, just use the mtr.

Where can UI get a good view of "HongKong Symphony Light Show"? I will stay at Eaton hotel, plan to have dinner at the PeakCAfe at 6:00 PM.
Please tell me how to go from the PeakCafe to the best location to watch the Light Show?

Oct. 18,2009 01:26
Mr.Jason replied:

The best places to see the light show is in the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront from Star Av. to Hong Kong Cultural Center, Golden Bauhinia Square and sightseeing ship within Victoria Harbor. The Peak cafe is on the hill side of the Peak. It is a bit far away to see the show but you can see the panorama. Suggest you get to pier of Tsim Sha Tsui to see the show. Get off the peak to take subway at Central to Tsim Sha Tsui. Star Ferry at Pier 7, Central is also a choice.

Hi! We will be having our first trip to Hongkong on February, 2010 and will be staying at Holiday Inn in Tsim Sha Tsui. How do we get there from the airport?

Oct. 10,2009 02:20
Mr.Shan replied:

Is the hotel's full name is Holiday Inn Golden Mile, located at 50 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui? If so, please take the Airport Express from Hong Kong Airport to Kowloon firstly. Then, you could use the free bus K3 here driving you to the hotel directly.

HI,

I have to go to Guanzhou Lido hotel from Kong Kong Airport. I will arrive at the airport at 11p.m.Tell me how can i get there either by train , by bus or any other methods.

Sep. 26,2009 01:01
Mr.Jamie replied:

I'm afraid that you have to stay one night in HK and then catch a bus from the HK Airport or the Kowloon bus station to Guangzhou the next day. There will be no transport available after 23:00. Maybe you could take an earlier flight to arrive in HK~

From HK Airport to Lido Hotel: you could take a coach departing to the China Hotel or the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou firstly. Both of them are not far from Lido Hotel, so then you could hire a taxi to drive you to the Lido directly.

Sep. 22,2009 22:22

Suggest you take airport express to Kowloon and you can find free shuttle bus K1 there to Eaton Hotel. The hotel is within walking distance from there.
Airport Bus A21 can take you get to Chung Hing Hotel in Nathan Road. Get off, you can see the hotel.
Airport express is fast but cost more money.

Hi

I will be staying at causeway bay and need to go to prince of wales hospital at Shatin. What is the most convenient way to get there?

Many thanks!

Sep. 3,2009 23:01
Mr.Shan replied:

You could use the MTR for the whole journey. Starting from Causway Bay, please take the Island Line to Admiralty. Then, transfer to Tsuen Wan Line and get off at Prince Edward to take the Kwun Tong Line to Kowloon Tong. Here, you could take the East Rail to Sha Tin directly. For the route map, please refere to http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/homepage/cust_index.html

Sep. 7,2009 11:59
Ms.Chen replied:

Thanks! May I know how I can get to the hospital from Shatin station? Walk, bus or taxi?

Sep. 7,2009 23:06
Mr.Shan replied:

HI Chen, sorry that I have made a mistake to give you the transportation. The hospital is located at City One station, not Sha Tin. You could get the details infor from its official website at http://www3.ha.org.hk/pwh/index_e.htm

Hi!

Its our 2nd trip in Hong Kong but first time with our 2 year old son. We'll be staying Metropark Hotel causeway bay. I found it to be at A11 route. Is taking the public bus a safe and easy trip especially for our son? do you know how near the bus stop is to our hotel? and lastly, do you know how often the bus leaves? (ex every 30 mins, every 1 hr?) Thank you very much for your help! :)

Louise

Sep. 3,2009 22:49
Mr.Shan replied:

Please take it easy that it is safe enough for you to take the A11. The bus stop is located at the Causeway Road outside Victoria Park, From which you could find the hotel easily. The bus will leave from the airport every 20~25 minutes from 06:10 to 00:00, and the last one departs at 00:30.

Hello. Im going to Guangzhuo this week end . What is the most convenient way to Guangzhuo? By Bus or train?
How can I take the bus? where is the bus station? From HK airport how to get the bus to Guangzhuo? Since Guangzhuo is China, where then is the immigration? Thanks lynn

Sep. 3,2009 22:55
Mr.Shan replied:

Do you mean that you will go to Guangzhou from HK Airport? If so, you could take an intercity bus at the Airport. You could search the buses' detail at http://www.hongkongairport.com/CBT/Controller?locale=eng

You have to take two times immigration check, one is when you arrive in HK. The other one is at the Huanggang Port or Shenzhen Bay Port on your way to Guangzhou by bus. But the latter one is very easy and quick!

HI, i will arrive to HK in 1pm and will stay there for about 10hours. Is there are enough time to visit the Victoria Peak. What is the easiest way to get there?

Thanks

Leon

Sep. 3,2009 22:44
Ms.Sisley replied:

Please make sure that you will have 5 hours at least except for arrival and departure from HK Airport. If so, you could go to the Victorial Peak for a visit. When you arrive at the airport, please take the Airport Express and get off at Hong Kong. The journey is just 30 minutes. Then, take the Bus 1 to the Peak. Or, walk to the nearby Pier 6 to take bus 15C to Central where you could take the peak tram to the Peak for a 2~3 hours visit. Then, return to the airport by the same way.

Does the E21 bus allow passengers with baggage? I read somewhere that this bus caters to mainly airport employees. We are a group of 4 with one bag each. The bus is convenient for us because it stops near our hotel, the Dorsett Kowloon Hotel on Anchor St. Or can we just ride on the S1 bus to Tung Chung MTR, then stop at Olympic station? Which is the shorter ride?

Aug. 24,2009 01:54
Mr.tank(cn) replied:

Hi, it is allowed. Passengers could also take E bus.

I travel with 8 person together. If I live at Dorset seaview hotel, which bus should I take from airport ? If I take rental minibus cheaper or much expensive compare to airport bus to hotel ? Thanks for reply asap.

Aug. 17,2009 01:39
Mr.Jason replied:

Take airport express to Kowloon Station where you can find free shuttle bus to the hotel. Airport express costs 90HKD. I do not think it is better to rent a minubus. You can take public bus or metro, which is not very conenient and fast, but much cheaper. Airport Bus A21 will stop at Yau Ma Tei area, which costs 33HKD.
