Hello,
I am planning to visit the Yuanming Yuan, taking the sighteseeing boat from the Beijing Zoo. When I am finished at the Old Summer palace will it be easy to hail a taxi or should I return via the sightseeing boat to the zoo? Thanks for your help in advance!

Sep. 14,2009 03:19
Mr.Jamie replied:

The cruise route shoud be from Beijing Zoo to Summer Palace (not Old Summer Palace). Yes, you do not need to get back again. You can get off from the south gate of Summer Palace and take a taxi to the next place.

Beijing has tightened the security check as of September 9 in preparation for the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. Passengers who took the intercity buses starting with the number “9” had to present their ID cards for check. The bus conductors will not allow you to board on the bus if you don’t show your ID cards. The buses will be checked at the checkpoints.

Hello Mr. Sam,

Thank you for the information. The thing is i forgot to ask which railway station to board this express train to go to Tianjin ?.. these tickets, do they need to be booked in advance ?

Thanks....

Sep. 9,2009 23:04
Mr.Sam replied:

All of the bullet train to Tianjin are departed from Beijing South Railway Station. If possible, you could purchase the ticket one day in advance at any of the railway station in Beijing. If you will not travel at weekend or during holiday, you could purchase the ticket on the day leaving.

If we take coach from Tianjin Airport to Beijing , how far it is to Joy City hotel from Bawangfen station by taxi and its cost

If we hire a van from tianjin Airport to Beijing , how much will it cost ,and will the van sent us straight to the hotel ? If this is the best option , please let me know where to get the van and please recommend a reliable service provider .Thank you

Mr.james replied:

Hi, mr Lai. Please see my answer above, you can know the approximate cost to have a taci from Tianjin qirport to Beijing. Beijing South Railway Station is nearer to the hotel, so suggest you take train to Beijing. To take bus needs a bot more time, but do not need a transfer.

The easiest way is to take taxi, for their is no subway at the moment to South Railway Station, or you need to take city bus if you do not have much lugguage. The taxi fare is about 20RMB.

Is there a very fast train to Beijing downtown from Tianjin Airport? or from Beijing INternatioal Airport to beijing downtown? I arrive in Tianjin Airport and wishes to go Wang Fu Jing Area (courtyard by marriott).
your help is greatly appreciated

Sep. 1,2009 01:37
Mr.james replied:

Hi, Mr Eddy. No train from Tianjin airport to downtown Beijing. Beijing capital airport has express train to Dongzhimen, east part of downtown. If you arrive in DOngzhimen, you can take Subway Line 2 to Chongwenmen Subway Station, then just walk to the hotel. It wastes a lot of time to go to Beijing airport then to the railway Station. It costs about 20RMB from Bawangfen to the hotel. Other option: Take Tianjin airport but to Tianjin Railway Station (10RMB for about 45 minutes), or you can take a taxi (no more than 50RMB for 30 minutes). Tianjin Railway Station has inter-city bullet train to Beijing South Railway Station. It can reach Beijing 30 minutes later. Then take a taxi to the hotel. The taxi take the similar price and time as from Bawangqiao. Would like to tell more if you have other questions.

hello
i will arrive to Beijing at the beginning of October and i would like to know a few things if anyone can help me.
1. I will stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel or Hilton Beijing Wangfujing Hotel. If i will take a cab from the airport can anyone tell me haw much will this cost me?
2. The next day i must go to Xingang Cruise port (Tianjin). I read on a forum that i can take the train(high speed) and from the tianjin station a taxi till the harbor. Is a train station near one of these two hotel's? I will have a big luggage and i don't want to rack with it. Can i get to the station walking or i must take a cab till the train station?
thank you in advance for help.

Aug. 31,2009 21:53
Mr.Qi replied:

1. About 120RMB from Capital Airport to Wangfujing.
2. The train station is Beijing South Railway Station. It is can't be reached by walking. So, you need to take a cab. The distance is about 7/8km from Wangfujing, fare: about 20RMB.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I will be flying with AIR ASIA to Tianjin. We are a family of 6 people's. We will be staying in Courtyard by Marriott HOTEL which is located at 3-18 Chong Wen Men Wai Street, Chongwen District. I would like to ask,
1. should we take 2 taxi's from tianjin to HOTEL directly?
OR
2. Tianjin take taxi or bus to Beijing Airport Train station and then to Beijing Railway Station then taxi to hotel?
or
3. Any other easier and quicker methods?

Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Aug. 31,2009 21:44
Mr.james replied:

It costs about 200-300RMB from Tianjin Airport to Beijing downtown for a single taxi. So, it is a big money to have two taxis. Tianjin airport has shuttle bus to Bawangfen Bus Station, 35RMB per person for 2.5 hours. It leaves from Tianjing airport at 10:00、14:00、16:00、17:00、19:00. After getting Bawangfen, you can take two taxi to the hotel then (about 20RMB for ten minutes).

What is the easiest way from Beijing Capital International Airport to Dongjiaominxiang Hotel at 23A Dongjiaominxiang, Docheng District, Beijing; and also from this hotel to Beijing Language And Culture University in Haidian?

Aug. 15,2009 04:50
Mr.Shan replied:

When you arrive at the Airport, please take the airport express train to Dongzhimen. Then, please transfer to subway Line 2 to reach Chongwenmen. Out from the Exit A, you could find Dongjiaominxiang easily. Walking westwards along the road for about then minutes, you will fin that the hotel is on you right hand.

To the university, please also take subway Line 2 at Chongwenmen, then transfer to Line 13 at Xizhimen. Finally get off at Wudaokou, and then take the road Chengfu Rd eastwards, you will find the southwest gate of the university.

Aug. 17,2009 04:23
Ms.Joyce(Malaysia) replied:

Thank you Mr. Shan. Still have questions.

1) Is it far & difficult to walk from where the airport express train stop to transfer to subway line 2 in Dongzhimen?
2) Taking subway line 2 from Donzhimen, if I get off at Qianmen instead of Chongwenmen, will Qianmen be easier and nearer to my hotel? I have a luggage so 10 minutes walk from Chongwenmen can be very clumsy.
3) Is it better to take Airport Bus Line 3 to Beijing Railway station, then take a taxi to the hotel? How easy to get taxi and how much does it cost?
4) Is it easy to get a taxi & how much does it cost from the airport directly to the hotel?

Your answers will be appreciated.

Aug. 19,2009 22:02
Mr.Qi replied:

Hello.
1. You should get out first and then walk to the subway station of Subway Line 2. Some steps here(downstairs). If you have heavy lugguage with you, it is a bit hard.
2. Yes, Qianmen is next to the Tian'anmen aquare. The hotel is on the half way of Qianmen and Chongwenmen. It is within 2 km and sugest you take a taxi.
3. Beijing Railway Station a farther to the hotel then Qianmen and Chongwenmen. If you take a taxi from Qianmen, 10RMB for the fare.
4. Not difficult to take a taxi. Take a taxi from capital airport to the hotel: 120RMB for 45 minutes.

Hello everyone! I want to travel from Beijing airport (PEK) to Hotel Holiday Inn temple of heaven,No.1 Ding An Dongi Li,3rd South Ring Road,Beijing. Can you please tell me how much will it take by taxi? Also how to go there by public transportation. Will it be crowded on Sunday evening at 20.00 hrs?

Aug. 8,2009 21:53
Mr.Qi replied:

The hotel is about 30 km from the airport, so you may pay about 80RMB for the taxi fare. You can take airport bus to Dongzhimen or Dongsishitiao, or Airport Express train to Dongzhimen, change to Subway Line 2 to CHongwenmen then change to Line 5 to Liujiayao Station. Suggest you take a taxi to the hotel then (within 1km).

There are no bus or subway from south railway station to beijing airport, here are two options for you:
1.take a taxi directly to airport, which may cost about 100 yuan.
2.take a taxi to Fangzhuang at about 10 yuan, then take the airport shuttle bus line 1 to airport.

Can I walk from the Beijing Railway Station to Harmony Hotel in Youtong Jie. I read reviews that say the hotel is near the railway station but if I have a luggage how difficult is it to walk to the hotel. Also, after my stay in Harmony Hotel, does the hotel have a airport shuttle bus that take me to the Beijing Airport. If not, what is the best way for me to go to the airport from Harmony Hotel. Thank you.

Jul. 26,2009 23:19
Mr.Qi replied:

It costs 10-20 minutes for you to walk from Beijing Railway Station to the hotel. If the hotel is not too heavy to handle, you can try to walk. Not very difficult. Walk west along the Beijingzhan Xi Jie (west road of Beijing Railway station) and turn north (right) to Youtong Street, and you can see the hotel soon. Take airport Bus Line 3 at Beijing Railway Station. There is no hotel bus to the airport I think.
