I am travelling beijing and i am eager to see the Bird's nest stadium and could anyone help me how to go to the Bird's nest staadium? and is the near to tianmen square? I mean how much does it costs if i take a taxi from tainmen square ? Thanks a lot in advance.

It is nearly 20 km from Tiananmen to the Bird's Nest, ticket fare: about 40rmb. Sugget you take Subway: Line one to Dongdan, change to Line 2 to Huixin Xijie Nankou, change to Line 10 to Beitucheng, then Olympic Line to the place.
