We have a 6 hour lay over in Chendu airport. Are there any sights worth seeing that we can get to and back in that amount of time?

Six hours is not enough. There are no sights worth seeing near the airport. If you have a day lay over, it would be OK. You can visit the Sanxingdui Museum, Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, the Qingcheng Mountain and the like. If you can stay there for several days, you may go to visit the Jiuzhaigou valley, Huanglong scenic area and Songpan ancient town. They are really stunning. What a pity! But you can get around the downtown of Chengdu.

Is there a place a the airport where we could leave our luggage for 3 days? we will be pass by Chengdu before finishing our China Trip in Beijing and we would like to avopid to take our large luggage with us through Sichuan. We will not stay at Chengdu, but travel to leshan and Emei Shan by bus. And climbing up Emei Shan with luggage would definetly not be very fun. So we thought we might leave the luggage at the airport. Does anyone k now if this is possible?

Yes, the luggage service is available at the left side of 2F in the airport. The fare is about 10yuan per day per small luggage and 30yuan per day per large one.

Usually, the international airport should be opened in 24 hours. So, I think you could stay there at night. however, you'd better call the airport for details.
