I adopted my daughter from Chongqing. That was 6 years ago. I spent 10 days in the city and surrounding area. I was impressed with the friendliness of the people. The service was much better than in the US, by far. The city was very clean-unlike NYC- The people tended to dress better than americans. We stayed at the Marriot Hotel.I never felt intimidated walking the streets or visiting the shops. It was hot and muggy most of the time but I still liked being in a spot of the earth where americans are few and far inbetween. I saw only one other white person who was from Australia! The women are beautiful and the men are friendly. PS My daughter is an exceptionally smart and beautiful child (of course).
Planning to be in Chongqing on 16th Sept. any advice on cheaper hotel near International Convention and Exhibition Center. How far is the airport from city?
Aug. 23,2009 01:17 Mr.jill(cn) replied:
I heard that Holiday Inn is nearby, which is economic. From the airport to international convention and exhibition center, you may need to take Airport line and get off at niujiaotuo and then change for Bus 125B.

The Fiancee Visa is the best route. I married a CQ woman 10 years ago and she was able to get in the US, not an easy move, in less than 2 months. Maybe Greece is easier. Good Luck
