Ms.Vivian replied:

It is reported that this city has successively rain during this period. So, take some warm clothes such as thin sweater and rainproof shoes.
Actually, this city does not has too many excellent attractions. However, the suburb counties and villages around Guiyang are full of wonderful sceneries and ethnic groups. For the details, please refer to: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/guizhou/guiyang/
You also could find some hotel suggestions there.
Transportation, don't expect too much for the city's public transport. Most of travelers will rent a cab with drivers for long excursion.

Hello all,
I grew up at Libo County in Guizhou Province and now worked in Shenzhen. Located in the southeast of Guizhou Province, Libo County is famous for its unique Karst topography and was listed as a World Cutlural Heritage Site of China in August 2007. Libo Airport was completed in June 2007. The airport is planning to launch some new flights from Libo to Chongqing, Guiyang and Kunming in the near future. China Southern Airlines has commenced a new tourist flights linking Shenzhen with Guizhou Province's Libo County from August 1, 2008. The flights operates thrice weekly. The full fare for a single trip is priced at CNY 920.

In my opinion, it's not a good idea to walk around the remote areas of the city at night;while you may have a stroll along the center of the city(it's really amazing&animating),then you could take a taxi back to hotel even in the midnight:)
