I want to travel to Harbin from Beijing but return to Tianjin instead of Beijing. Any advice and cost and duration of journey i.e Beijing to Harbin & Harbin to Tianjin
Jun. 18,2009 01:31 Mr.Colin replied:
Harbin: two or three days is enough. If you come in winter, you can spend more time at the ice and snow sculptures, ice lantern. Central Street, Sophia Church, hunting ground and so on. Tianjin: 2 day is ok. One day to see the sites in Tianjin City and one day to take a cuise ship to the sea. Beijing has D trains to Harbin, 8 hours for 385/462RMB Harbin have one D train to Tianjin: 8.5 hours, 381/457RMB Ordinary trains are much cheaper, but spend much time. These bullet trains are cheaper than flights. Hope it helps.

Yes, it is a problem to buy the ticket. Usually, train tickets is sold several day in advance, but people at that time is still very crowded. No official webbsite provides online booking, as I know. You can try at the moment you arrive in Tianjin, or ask help at the hotel. Good Luck.

There are so many flights then, spaning from early morning to the midnight. oh, we would like to have a relax trip, so we are able to take the flight of Hainan airline, departs at 10:20am and arrive in harbin 12:00am. So quick. The tickets are reasonable cheap now, we just spend 780yuan per person, and includes all extra fee~
