Shanghai Oriental Art Center
Shanghai Oriental Art Center, which opened at the end of 2005, is considered to be a fashionable landmark of the city. Located at Pudong Administration and Culture Center, it was designed by Paul Andreu, a famous French architect. With this special Oriental Art Center architecture, the five hemispherical halls connected together make the whole construction appear like a shining butterfly. The five halls are used respectively for entrance, performances, concerts, exhibitions and operas. The Oriental Art Center capacity can reach thousands of people every year.
At present, Shanghai Oriental Art Center has successfully held various quality performances and cultural events. Saturday Brunch Concert is held here every week, showing various kinds of performance, including opera, children chorus, cello, piano, jazz, zither masterpiece and incidental music and so on. The ticket price are usually very affordable for common citizens to enjoy the splendid performance. Classical Shanghai Night – Weekend Jazz Salon is held periodically in Oriental Art Center, showing jazz music played by a local big band called Hailin. Oriental Charm Concert is held on Saturday every two weeks. Oriental Charm is a super folk music band comprising five girls. How to Buy Oriental Art Center Tickets
1. Buy tickets at Ticket Center of Shanghai Oriental Art Center.
It is located at the front gate, No. 425, Dingxiang Road, Pudong New Area. The opening hours of Ticket Center are 09:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Sunday. Visa Cards are accepted.
2. Book the tickets by phone.

How to Get to Shanghai Oriental Art Center
By Metro:
Take metro line 2 and get off at Science & Technology Museum Station, Exit 3. Then walk northwest around 400 meters to find the art center.
By Bus: Take bus no. 983, 987 or Pudong No.3 to get to Dingxiang Road Jindai Road first. Then walk southwest around 200 meters to find the destination.
