Guilin Rd. ↔ Songjiang Xincheng

Subway Line 9 has been in operation since the end of 2007. Now it runs from Yishan Rd. in Xuhui District near the city center to Songjiang Xincheng in Songjiang District in the southwest exurb of Shanghai. This line with a total length of 31 kilometers ( about 19.3 miles) has 12 stations at very long intervals.

Line 9 passes Caohejing Hi-Tech Park, Qibao Ancient Town, Sheshan National Tourist Resort, Songjiang University Town and Songjiang Xincheng. It effectively facilitates the transportation of residents in the suburban Minhang and Songjiang Districts to the city center. Also it enables tourists in the urban area to easily go to attractions in the suburbs.

In the future, Line 9 will be extended northeast to Pudong New Area and even further to Chongming County.

Transfer: Passengers of Line 9 can transfer to Line 3 and Line 4 at Yishan Rd. Station. Need to get out of the subway Station first to transfer to Line 4 and you can just transfer within the same hall between Line 9 and Line 3.
