How to Get Around in Shanghai Expo?

Shanghai Expo Metro Sepcial Line
Shanghai Special Expo Metro Line (Metro Line 13) starts from Madang Road, which is an important transfer station for expo transportation.
Stops (from north to south):
Danshui Road Station, Madang Road Station, Lupu Bridge Station, World Expo Park Station, Changqing Road Station (Danshui Road-Madang Road, World Expo Park Station-Changqing Road only open in case of emergency.)
Hours: 09:00 - 24:00
Ticket: free of charge during Expo (Passengers hold expo ticket and enter the park from Madang Road and leave from Lupu Bridge)
Transfer: Interchange with Metro Line 10 at Danshui Road
               Interchange with Metro Line 9 at Madang Road
               Interchange with Metro Line 7 at Changqing Road

Tips: This line will be closed after Shanghai World Expo and re-open when the first phrase of Line 13 is totally completed in 2011.  Lupu Bridge Station can be only used for passenger to leave the park area.

Bus Stations: Expo Avenue - Europe Pavilion - Joint Pavilion of Internatinal Organizations - Food Square - Asia Pavilion - World Expo Cultural Center - Expo Center - Bao Steel Stage - Houtan Park - M1 Water Gate - Houtan Entrance & Exit
Hours: 09:00 - 24:00
 Line 3: East Longhua Road Line
Bus Stations: China Railway Pavilion (South) - Space Pavilion (South) - Luban Road Entrance & Exit - Space Pavilion (North) - China Railway Pavilion (North) - Shipping Building Industry Pavilion - Bansongyuan Entrance & Exit
Hours: 09:00 - 24:00

 By Sightseeing Bus
 Bocheng Rd. Sightseeing Line: Houtan Rd. Entrance/Exit (Gate 8) - Shangnan Rd. Entrance/Exit (Gate 6)
Stops: Houtan Rd. Entrance/Exit (Gate 8) – Shanggang Rd. – Bocheng Rd. - Shangnan Rd. Entrance/Exit (Gate 6)
 Overpass Footpath West Sightseeing Line: west side of the Expo Axis
Stops: Houtan Rd. Entrance/Exit (Gate 8) - Expo Axis
 Overpass Footpath East Sightseeing Line: east side of the Expo Axis
Stops: Bailianjing Entrance/Exit (Gate 4) – Expo Axis
 Guozhan Rd. Sightseeing Line: Expo Avenue Shangnan Rd. – Guozhan Rd. – Tangzijing Rd. –Expo Avenue
Stops: Expo Axis – Changqing Rd. – Tangzijing Rd.
 Puxi Sightseeing Line: Jumen Rd. – Longhua East Rd. – Miaojiang Rd.
Stops: L3 Ferry Terminal - UBPA Display

Operating Time: 09:00-24:00 (stop running when the parade is undergoing or the expo park is too crowded)
Ticket price: CNY10 per person
Tips: Passengers can only get off the bus on the way, not get on the bus. 

 By Cross-river Ferry

Get Around Expo Park by Ferry
Within the Expo Park, there are totally 6 ferry terminals operating 5 water routes. The ferry terminals are  L1,  L3, L5 in Puxin, L2, L4, L6 in Pudong. L1, L2 and L6 are respectively next to M1, M2 and M3, the three water gates within the site.

We herard the Expo China Pavilion is open in December now. Does light rail 13 still runs into the area? If not, what is the best way for us to get to the China Pavilion now? Thanks.

Hi, you can walk to Beixinjing to take subway line 2 and get off at Jing'an Temple. Then transfer subway line 7 and get off at Houtan. You will see the Houtan Entrance of the site.
