
By Sightseeing Bus
In order to conserve the fragile ecological environment in the valley, sightseeing buses in Jiuzhaigou are powered by natural gas. These buses help prevent pollution of the beautiful environment and make sightseeing on your trip a great deal easier. Bus tickets can be bought together with your entrance tickets, and cost CNY80 per person from November 16th to March 31st and CNY90 from April 1st to November 15th.
Sightseeing bus routes start at the entrance gate of the valley, with scheduled stops arranged around the valley's main attractions. Visitors can get on and off the buses at any of the stops in the valley. It is worth noting that the larger buses can only be taken at designated stops, so if you do wish to get on a bus further along the route then you should aim to catch the medium-size vehicles. The buses will usually stop running at about 17:00 in the low season, so make sure that your tour schedule is planned accordingly.
By Foot
If you would like to get closer to the charming scenery in the valley then walking provides the perfect opportunity to do so. Local officials have introduced a footpath for visitors that winds its way around Jiuzhaigou's major attractions, like a necklace stringing together a series of spectacular sceneries. And then there is always the option to take a sightseeing bus should you get tired.
By Taxi
Most of the hotels and restaurants that have opened around Jiuzhaigou Valley are still a fair distance from the entrance gate, and taking a taxi is the most convenient way for you to get there. The start-rate fare of the taxis is CNY5, with a surcharge fare of CNY1.4 per additional kilometer (0.62 miles). The area around Jiuzhaigou Valley is similar to that of a small town and most places can be reached by taxi for less than CNY10.
