The Tropic of Cancer runs straight through the middle of Taiwan bringing with it tropical and subtropical weather. Taiwan experiences weather similar to Yunnan, Guangxi and Guangdong provinces. It typically presents an average temperature of 22C (71.6F) all year round. There is no severe cold in winter and no brutal summer heat. Taiwan always welcomes you with its pleasant seasons.

From April to November is summer in Taiwan. The hottest month is July with an average temperature of 28C (82.4F). December through to March brings the coolest temperatures with an average temperature of 15C (59F) to 18C (64.4F). Of course, the presence of snow is unheard of, though weather patterns show an increase in rainy days. A sweater and a jacket are all the preparation required for a winter in Taiwan. Spring and autumn are peak seasons for travelers.

Taiwan is a humid region. The northern part, middle mountain area and western plain are abundant with rainfalls in different periods. From June to October is the typhoon season in Taiwan, with July to September experiencing the most activity.
