Like in most big cities in China, you can easily find ATM (cash dispenser) for your convenience in Tianjin, especially in and around university campuses, big shopping malls and the bustling business areas. 24-hour self banking service are also available. All banks are open all the year round, so please don't worry if you have no cash at hand during public holidays or weekends.

Religion

 St. Joseph Cathedral
Located in Dushan Road in Heping District in Tianjin, St. Joseph Cathedral is also called French Cathedral or Old Xikai Cathedral. It was built by French cathedral preachers. Built from 1913 to 1916, it is the largest cathedral church in Tianjin. The French Roman architectural style was adopted for the design of the buildings.

Covering an area of 1,896 square yards, it is mainly composed of three church towers arrayed according to the Chinese character “品". In the front yard, there is a holy water font. The main body of the buildings is in red and yellow bricks. The church spire is painted in emerald green. In the cathedral, many precious mural paintings and pipe organs are well preserved. The interior decoration is splendid and elaborate, creating a holy and mysterious atmosphere.

Transportation: Take Subway Line 1 to reach Yingkou Road Station and then get out of the station from Exit B1. Then walk for about 300m to reach the church.

 Wanghailou Catholic Church
It is the first Catholic church built in the city but the existing one was reconstructed after 1976.

 Zizhulin Catholic Church
Also called St. Luis Church, this church gotten its present name due to the black bamboo around it. Now, it is inhabited by the nuns.

 Gangweilu Christian Church
This church was founded in 1917, originally subordinated to the American Board Mission. It is one of the two most famous Christian Churches with the Wesley Methodist Church in the city.

 Great Mosque
Founded in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), it is one of the most mosques in China now, covering an area of about 5000 square meters (about 1.24 acres).

 Jinjiayao Mosque
The history of this mosque can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Now, it is also one of the scenic spots of the city.

 Tianmu Bei Mosque
This mosque was originally built in the Ming Dynasty, including palace of prayer and hall of preaching.

 Dabei Buddhist Temple
It is the best preserved and largest Buddhist temple in the city, originally built in the Qing Dynasty.

 Jianfu Guanyin Temple

 Lianzong Temple
It is the only existing nunnery in the city now, being built in the middle of the 20th Century.

Nightlife

A long history endows Tianjin with deep cultural connotations which have inspired some famous recreational art forms, such as cross-talk, Jingyun Dagu, and Tianjin Kuaiban being the most famous. Generally speaking Kuaiban is performed in the local dialect. The performer (or performers) follows the rhythm coming from two thin bamboo boards on his (her or their) hand. You can enjoy those traditional art forms mentioned above in some of theatres in the city.

Of course there are various modern entertainment centers for your convenience as well, such as Huana Golf Club (No.1, Huanghai Lu, Tanggu Economic & Technical Development Zone), International Golf Club (Guanzhuang, Dongli District), along with many pubs, cafes and bars waiting for your patronage as well.
