The night life of Shangri-La is always colorful. When night falls, Sifanglou Plaza of Shangri-La County becomes a big dance stage. There a large number of people perform the Tibetan folk dance Guozhuang. They all join hands, form a circle, and follow the principal dancer. The cheerful atmosphere may entice you to join them in the dance. Also you can pay a visit to the Tibetans' houses. In their houses, you can appreciate (for a modest fee) folk dance performances and taste the meat of baked lamb and yak.
Furthermore, if you have an accommodation in Dukezong Ancient Town, you should take a stroll in the evening. Dukezong has another beautiful name, Moon Town. Perhaps, ambling along the stone-paved lanes with a full moon hanging in the sky above Shangri-La, you will feel the romance of it all. If not, on a street called Pijiangpo there are many bars, it's the most prosperous place in the ancient town. In your spare time, take a look.

Nightlife in Shangri-La is not colorful. I would rather recommend a skiing resort. you can find skiing field in Hala Village, Niya, a town 20 kilometers northwest of Shangri-La County. It has Chinese and western restaurant and cafes inside.
Well, another interesting thing to do is to visit local Tibetan families. As we all known that the Tibetans make up the most part of the county's population. Traditional Tibetan houses are made up of three storeys, with its three sides being clay rammed. The bottom is for livestock and the other two is for people to live. It has visiting room, bedroom and prayer hall. The hosts will serve yum snacks made by their own. Decorations and designs on chairs and other places in the house is full of Tibetan flavor. One thing to remind, this kind of family will charge some money.
