Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: based on the cruise sailing date.

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Accommodation: The Peninsula Palace  - Deluxe Room


Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

Accommodation: The Peninsula Palace  - Deluxe Room


Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. (B+L)

Day 04: Beijing - Xian
Visit the Summer Palace and the Lama Temple. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served for you at the hotel this evening. (B+L+D)

Day 05: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. Day 06: Xian
Visit the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family. (B+L)

Day 07: Xian - Lhasa
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi if time permits. Take a flight to Lhasa  where the altitude is 3,650 meters above sea level. Transfer to the finest hotel in Lhasa and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude in the afternoon. The a la carte dinner will be arranged for you at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+D)

Day 08: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a Tibetan family. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street. After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Lhasa - Chongqing
Take a flight to Chongqing. Visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo if time is available. After having a rich buffet dinner at 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze, check in at the deluxe Century Star cruise ship. Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins at 23:30 as the ship sets sail. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Chongqing - Fengdu
Disembark for an excursion to the Snowy Jade Cave. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening. (B+L+D) 


Day 12: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
Sailing through the Qutang Gorge and later the Wu Gorge. Disembark at Wushan Daning River for an excursion to the Shennong Stream. In the afternoon, continue sailing into western section of the Xiling Gorge. The Farewell Party tonight invites you to perform dancing or musical instruments with the cruise staff. (B+L+D)

 
Day 13: Yichang - Shanghai
Disembark for an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. Then pack your luggage and complete check-out procedures. After having  lunch at the Yichang city, visit the Yichang Museum if time  permits. Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 14: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. A speical dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 15: Shanghai - Guilin
Take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill. Enjoy Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 16: Guilin - Yangshuo
Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Transfer to the hotel. A short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, TCG suggests that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today.) (B+L)

Day 17: Yangshuo - Guilin - Hongkong
The morning is free. Transfer back to Guilin to take a flight to Hongkong. Transfer to the hotel. (B)

Day 18: Hongkong
In the morning you will have a half-day Hongkong Island Tour. Peak tram ride to mid-level of Central District then to the Victoria Peak, visit the Repulse Bay, Aberdeen, Stanley Market. Transfer to Pier for taking Star Ferry to Kowloon side, walk along the waterfront promenade back to Hotel. Lunch is on your side. The afternoon is free. (B)

Day 19: Departure from Hongkong
