Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Ming Tomb and the Summer Palace.  (B+L)

Day 04: Beijing - Lhasa
Take a morning flight to Lhasa where the altitude is 3,650 meters above sea level. Transfer to the finest hotel in Lhasa and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. The a la carte dinner will be arranged for you at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+D)
 

Day 05: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a Tibetan family. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 06: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street. After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 07: Lhasa - Xian 
Take a flight to Xian. Visit the City Wall. Transfer to the best hotel of the city in the downtown area. A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served for you at the hotel this evening. (B+L+D)

Day 08: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. (Add: No.75, Chang'an Road, Xian) (B+L+D)

Day 09: Xian
Visit the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family. (B+L)

Day 10: Xian - Guilin
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. After lunch, take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy Ethnic Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 11: Guilin - Yangshuo
Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Transfer to the hotel. A short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles. (Tips: Since the lunch on the Li River cruise can not meet your expectation, TCG suggests that you have enough breakfast at the hotel today.) Day 12: Yangshuo - Guilin
Morning is free. Return to Guilin, visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Seven Star Park and the Elephant Trunk Hill in the afternoon. (B+L)

Day 13: Guilin - Chongqing
Take a morning flight to Chongqing. After having a rich buffet lunch at 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze, visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo, the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell and Ci Qi Kou. Check in at the deluxe Century Star cruise ship. Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins at 23:30 as the ship sets sail. (B+L)

Day 14: Chongqing - Fengdu
Disembark for an excursion to the Snowy Jade Cave. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening. (B+L+D)
 

Day 15: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
Sailing through the Qutang Gorge and later the Wu Gorge. Disembark at Wushan Daning River for an excursion to the Shennong Stream. In the afternoon, continue sailing into western section of the Xiling Gorge. The Farewell Party tonight invites you to perform dancing or musical instruments with the cruise staff. (B+L+D)

Day 16: Yichang - Shanghai
Disembark for an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. Then pack your luggage and complete check-out procedures. After having  lunch at the Yichang city, visit the Yichang Museum if time  permits. Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 17: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The farewell dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 18: Departure from Shanghai
