We thought the Peking Opera show was boring and a little weird for western people. But maybe we do not appreciate its long history. The soft seat train from Chengdu to Chongqing was fine. But you should tell people that they need to depart the train at the new "Chongqing North" station and not wait for the train to go to a Chongking station. Then when getting off the train, there are no baggage carts and it is very difficult to move the heavy baggage downstairs to meet the guide. We followed the crowd down many stairs, and then discovered if we had continued on the train platform there is a ramp that makes it much easier to move heavy rolling baggage. This baggage movement problem makes the train unsuitable for people who are not physically fit.
