Shanghai locates at the mouth of the Yangtze River and literally, the name of the city means: the city on the sea, the ancient cultures and dream explainers said water is wealth and means fortune, this is probably the reason that places close to sea or river are wealthier than the inland areas. We hope several days sailing in the Yangtze River bring a lot of dreams of water!

Day by Day Itinerary

Departure:

Yangtze Three Gorges cruise tour

Day 01: Arrival in Shanghai
You'll be picked up upon arrival at the airport and transferred to check into the hotel. Have a stroll at the Bund area along the Huangpu River if time is available.

Day 02: Shanghai
The first stop of Shanghai is to visit the Shanghai Museum which houses large collections of historical items. Then go ahead to the famous Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a short cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The welcome dinner is arranged at Central Hotel, Wang Bao He restaurant which has a history over 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. Later, you will enjoy an amazing Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Shanghai - Yichang
The last stop of Shanghai is a brief tour to the Jade Buddha Temple. Then head for Yichang city by flight and be picked up upon arrival with comfortable private transfer. Visit Yichang Museum if time is available. After dinner, board onto the deluxe New Century cruise ship for overnight. (B+L+D)

Day 04: Three Gorges Dam
Your expectant Yangtze River cruise commences at 07:00 in the morning. Sail along the eastern Xiling Gorge. Disembark and take a visit to the magnificant under constructed Three Gorges Dam Site. Then back to the ship and continue cruising along the western Xiling Gorge and pass the Five Level Ship Lock. After dinner, you are invited to participate the Captain's Welcome Party. (B+L+D)

Day 05: Three Little Gorges
Sail through Wu Gorge in the morning and take a detour to the verdant Three Little Gorges. You will also experience an exciting short pea-boat rowing. Back to the ship and view the scenery of the shortest Qutang Gorge. (B+L+D)

  
Day 06: Fengdu
Disembark at Fengdu to visit the Snowy Jade Cave. Then continue sailing to Chongqing. In the evening, join in the farewell party and enjoy your last night on board. (B+L+D) 
   
  
Day 07: Chongqing - Beijing
The ship is scheduled to arrive in Chongqing at around 08:30. Follow the advice to pack your luggage in advance. The guide will meet you on board and take you for a brief city tour to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo and the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. After a rich buffet lunch at the 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze, head for Beijing by flight and you will be met by the local professional guide at the airport. (B+L)

Day 08: Beijing
You will be accompanied by the local professional guide to one of the greatest world heritage sites - the Great Wall, Badaling section. Drive to escape the shopping site tourist restaurants to have a decent meal - Sichuan food, for lunch. The visit continue to the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way in the afternoon. You will sample Cantonese cuisine for dinner at a top restaurant in the Wangfujing Street, a la carte style. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Beijing
You will be thrilled the whole day when visit the Tiananmen Square - one of the largest and grandest city square in the world; the Forbidden City of Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Temple of Heaven - once was the royal temple. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a well-known restaurant. The cheering national Peking Opera awaits you after dinner. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Departure form Beijing
After a tour to the Summer Palace, comfortable private hotel-airport transfer is arranged according to your flight schedule. (B)
